Amen

"in light of his buffoonery" Since that is what he often makes a point of - anyone listening to him knows he speaks of political issues in the midst of buffoonery. The buffoonery does not negate any truth that might be transmitted by it.

It is a bit obvious his religion is getting into his way as a communicator but that is his free choice after all.

I'll give you a big AMEN for that...

Preaching Jesus, Paul, and MP don't like Beck because he tells the truth. So, all they can do is turn to insults and other attacks on Beck and those who appreciate his show. Ok, I'm a big boy guys. Insult away. MP has called me a racist amongst other things. I still don't know what I am going to do with myself knowing that MP doesn't like me. My self esteem is so far out of the window. Whatever will I do to gain his respect?

Well, I'm pretty sure he isn't in the business he's in because they serve Twinkies at snack time.
I rarely give my services for free. If I do, it's for charity. Other than that, it's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. Take the money out of the equation, and I'm not there. Good grief people. Except for the die-hard-I'm-never-wrong-people, all of you would have to admit you wouldn't stay at your jobs either if it wasn't for money.

FNC host Glen Beck admits he doesn't care about politics, that it's all about the money, and that FNC is an "entertainment" company. Imagine that.

Love that he calls global warming deniers "idiots".

Just for the heck of it, let's say that the latest in your long list of silly claims is true. So what? How does that make what he's said any less true?

I can't speak for the others but this isn't the case for me. Please don't suggest otherwise.

I don't care for Mr Beck because he is a bloviating fool who uses fear and sensationalism to sell his "journalistic" wares. If find him crass, unduly petulant, vain, phony, and anti-intellectual. He tells a side of the truth, but not the whole thing.

So please don't limit my objections to something I have never said.

I have no reason to insult you. I don't know you and can't speak into your life. Here, in this forum, I only speak about topics, issues, and personalities and rarely ever turn the discussion to a personal level against other posters. Please keep that in mind in future discourse before trying to pigeon-hole me...or others. :)

It's no secret that america lives and dies by the almighty dollar.
May the Good Lord help us and protect us as our President seeks to control all the dollars. (but thats for another thread)

Which could also be said of your description of Beck. But then I find no desire to unload half the dictionary on someone.

So, Preaching Jesus doesn't like Beck. And, he uses some pretty big words. But, where's the substance to this dislike?

Simple, Beck thinks that Bush can do no wrong.

I'm not trying to start/broaden/inflame a fight here, but this is untrue. Beck has consistently pointed to the Bush administration as a failure of Big Govt. conservatism. I'm not shilling for Beck here, but he's been a consistent critic of the bailouts started by the Bush team. I just don't follow your logic here, Salty.

I find it amusing that you fail to comprehend the meaning of the few words used in this little three paragraph article.

Glen Beck admits that he doesn't care about the political process - not that he doesn't care about politics.

Glen Beck said that Glen Beck, Inc. is an entertainment company - not that Fox News is an entertainment company.

Some people are so convinced of someones motives, they cannot be swayed no matter what. Next it will be, Beck was misquoted or he didn't really mean what he said. Regardless, the same old crowd will be tuned to their radio and television the next time Beck comes on.
Or Rachel Maddow or Olbermann or Bill Maher.

Both sides have their Pied Pipers and the resultant lemmings.
