Becoming a pastor

In 1974, I met J.Vernon McGee in the mountains on a construction site when he stood by watching what we were doing. I did not know who he was at the time and was trying to engage him in a conversation. So I asked him some typical questions. He told me that he spoke on the radio. Thinking that he worked for a radio station I followed up with some more questions. We continued our conversation and I found him to be a humble man. As a young Christian at the time it was good for me to experience that and I have never forgotten what God showed me through the example he was for me. So I am glad that I made him and for the permanent mark he made on my life.
