Being slain in the Spirt

have seen it on TV, and its a sham, as its combo of mass hysteria, group pressure, and at times demonic forces

I've felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in Church many times, especially during the singing praises to the Lord.

I've never felt the desire to fall in the floor rolling around, jumping over pews, or taking laps around the sanctuary.

I've seen it happen twice while visiting Churches, and felt embarrassed to be there.

There are also very dubious things such as Holy laughter, barking as dogs, jumping pews, doing "jericho" marches around inside of the building etc

Now there was 'real" instant of that in Bible when Jesus stated to them that he was I Am, but He is God

Remember the angel dust they would sprinkle on themselves and some would fall out in the floor shaking like having a seizure?

And it not just Holy Rollers doin' some of this stuff!

Look what happens at 'Independent Fundamental Bible-Believing' Lebanon Baptist Temple in Ohio:

Skip to 55s where the hootin' and hollerin' starts.
At 2m5s some men, young and old, begin to run laps around the sanctuary.
Then a couple of the churchladies start running...

'Let all things be done decently and in order.' 1 Corinthians 14:40.
Some years ago we had a couple move into our street and the guy proclaimed himself to be a Christian. He invited me to his church in the city 7-8 miles away, and since the meeting was in the afternoon, I said I would go.
It was quite evident that some of the people had come intending to be 'slain in the Spirit' because they brought cushions along to rest their heads on when they fell down. The message was rubbish; the music wasn't that great. People only went to fall over. I never went back.
Not long afterwards, the guy left his wife and ran off with his secretary.
