if there is one sin that we deliberately hold onto- if we say, "I want to be a Christian but I won't stop doing that"- that sin will be enough to damn us
So one who is elect, whose name was written before the foundation of the world, is capable of doing this? Having their name blotted out and perishing in hell for eternity?
1 Cor. 6:9. 'Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived.'

Ah yes, but I'm one of the elect.

'Do not be deceived.'

Yes, but I have such strong assurance of salvation.

'Do not be deceived.'

Yes, but I have the Spirit of adoption by which I cry "Abba Father!"

'Do not be deceived.'

Yes, but I'm the Pastor of this big church and I get asked to conferences.

'Do not be deceived.' 'He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him' (1 John 2:4).

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom 3:9,10

What does one do to change that? Birth himself? And then?

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:5

However? Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Rom 6:18-22

Heads up! New recruit right here guys. If I were you I'd be onim' like a chicken on a June bug.

Here, while your pecking for insects, allow me to finish off where you less than half quoted me. It would be more honest and Christ-like to not provide half a story and bear a false witness, correct?

Here is what I said:

Obedience is evidence of the work of grace and of being brought into the fold, John 10:27. Lack of obedience and following are evidence of one remaining unconverted. Some go as far as saying that in John 8:30 those who 'believed' were converted.

[QUOTE="JamesL,

Why would i want to do that?
Devilish

That moron i wrote about is the sorriest excuse for a Christian that I've ever met.
Poop

I'm surprised the fruit inspectors haven't already condemned him to hell for his vile attitude.

Oh, wait. He's a Puritan, so his fruit is all external. He talks a good game about holiness, but there's nothing inside except dead bones.
Poop

He's a whitewashed tomb and everybody here knows it.

It's remarkable how this site encourages the calling of the Reformed lost. Nothing is done about it. Maybe if it is 'reported'....nah...what am I thinking! :p :D
Well, you're still here after posting a thread title equating Arminianism with mocking God.

Looks like the standard is equally applied to me.

With evidence. What you conveniently don't mention is that I mentioned no person on this board. Don't like my threads don't read them since truth bothers you so much.

Looks like the standard is equally applied to me.

Nothing I said was equal to that, so your 'looker' is off. But hey you got a chance to grandstand. Congrats.

Ironic isn't it that I made a thread or two on the errors of FGT and people are crying and falsely assuming it was against Arminians. I saw a thread entitled 'The Reprobate Calvinist' on here. Any cals whine about that being allowed?

How about a thread titled 'The Reprobate Anti-Calvinists'? Wonder how that would fly? :)
