Anyone involved in this and what do you say? I plan to attend at least one session. My dad is heavily involved and really likes it.

Is this a particular organized movement, grass roots in home movement growing in popularity, a name that a certain Ministerial school gives a certain practice?

If your definition of a "Bible Study Fellowship" means a group of people who regularly meet together for Bible study and prayer beyond what occurs at our regularly scheduled corporate worship services, my church has been doing this sort of thing for several years.

Personally, I prefer this type of arrangement because once a local church's membership expands beyond a few families.

For me it's kind of difficult for the "average church member" (like me) to really get to know both the struggles and victories that we encounter on a day-to-day basis---much less how a person is to pray for, edify, and encourage one another (something which the Bible tells us to do!).

If you want to get somewhat of an idea how my church does this sort of "Bible Study Fellowship," you can visit our website at www.lighthouseministries.org and follow the link that's labeled "Ministries." Under the "Ministries" there is a section entitled "Life Groups" (That's what we call our "Bible Study Fellowship.)

Miss Audrey Wetherell Johnson was a woman greatly beloved of God. Born in England, educated in Europe, delivered from agnosticism, and transformed by God's grace into a gifted Bible teacher and preacher, she answered God's call to the mission field in China during the 1930s. After years of teaching pastors and church leaders in a theological seminary in Beijing, Miss Johnson was scooped up with other missionaries and placed in a Japanese concentration camp for three years of intolerable and unmentionable suffering. Yet once again we glimpse God's glory when we learn that Miss Johnson was finally released, came to America, and began Bible Study Fellowship, an international ministry that now has approximately one million men and women who use her material and format to study God's Word each week.

How about your local church have such a Bible Study?

We have Sunday morning teachings more along with a bible study, wed night bible study, cells groups going thu the bible, and many also do a Chrsitian web study on their own time!
