I recommend the f35GNT prepared by Wilbur N Pickering. It has a critical apparatus giving percentages of mss evidence and texts 5th century and older.

Unlike the Jews, who had extremely high standards for the copies made, I consider that copies made by gentiles did not carry that same thinking.

Textual Criticism is needed for the Old Testament as well. Those high standards didn't always apply or Textual Criticism would not be necessary.

I would think that it would be unnecessary with that done in the OT. For I was taught that the Hebrew copies were carefully supervised and measured for accuracy even to the length of each line and how many were on each portion of the scroll.

This is why the ancient scrolls found are so very exact to what is still used in the synagogues of the conservative, traditional Jews, extremely few changes are found when compared.

Think read where the differences between the 2 major Hebrew texts used are like 12 in total?

Could be, I really don't remember anymore.

This is one reason I plea for others to look into the matters of Berean translations of the Scriptures for veracity and validity.

Because of the care the Jewish scribes took that you have mentioned, though textual criticism is necessary for the OT, it is not as arduous as NT textual criticism. For a basic look, see Ellis R. Brotzman, Old Testament Textual Criticism: A Practical Introduction.

Due to that truth, many less critical Hebrew Editions, as there are just a main couple used, correct?
