Biden to ban fracking after saying would not, but the devil is in the details

PROMISE BROKEN: Biden Will Follow Through With Fracking Ban After Months Of Denying It

They did say they would not ban fracking, but to clarify, they said on private lands only will they allow fracking, because they have no easy control over non federal lands for oil and gas exploration. Of course Federal land amounts are large and in every state.

OF COURSE most people did not catch that during the debate and the media sort of hid it from the public, simply resaying what Harris and Biden said, that they would not ban fracking.

People are only fooled when they want to be, and if they had taken the time to study what they had really said, they would know the promise to not ban fracking was qualified from the get go. But they hated Trump so much more, and now they will have to live with the monetary and policy consequences of their votes.

hundreds of thousands of jobs will be lost due to the bans
It is not just drilling jobs, there are many related jobs to the industry.
Again New Mexico voted mostly for Biden, you reap what you sow.

Now you get to suffer
Buyer's Remorse: New Mexico's Leaders Say Biden Energy Bans Will Devastate State's Economy

When evil leaders make bad policies, it affect the good and the bad people together in evil ways, God though causes the sun to shine and the rain to fall on good and bad alike, because God is not evil like them.

I can’t feel sorry for New Mexico. They voted for Biden so they must have wanted fracking to stop in their state. It was clear that Biden would close federal lands. The Dems always want to close federal lands. The Dems don’t know how to manage anything.

democrats in Washington and elsewhere have been wanting fracking stopped for a while now. Not even sure why, except that they hate the oil and gas industry in the US and energy independence.
You know, they are globalists with globalist agendas. So dont mind if the price of energy necessarily skyrockets.

That New Mexico dem governor, why is he so vociferously complaining, just to look good to the people in his state, like that he cares. Likely secretly pleased Biden did this. The leaders will never suffer. All hardship suffering is for the ones who want to actually work, earn their own living, and not depend on meager handouts, being dependent on the government.

Biden said he wants to move from fossil fuels (if I remember correctly, by 2050...but don't quote me). And he said he would not ban fracking except on federal land (he made this clarification and went on about how moving from fossil fuels would be a long process....blah blah blah).

What is Biden doing to ban fracking?

The FEDs wont renew the leases when they expire. Which means they have to stop working.
And I dont think anything can be done to prevent FEDs from doing this.

I can’t imagine that Biden will allow any new activity on federal lands. The don’t want cattle to graze on federal lands and they don’t want timber harvested so of course they don’t want minerals developed or water conserved.

Biden did campaign on stopping fracking on federal lands. As you noted, he probably is controlled by the greens. Wind and solar are a total ripoff.

But he said he would stop fracking on federal land. Is this going to impact fracking on non-federal land as well?

Not yet. But as you can see this affects many people. And if you constrain the supply of oil 10%, it's price goes up more than 10%.
And future oil leases will not be sold.

Oil from federal lands tops 1B barrels as Trump eases rules

Under Trump. oil from Fed land -water leases was 1 billion barrels last year, so that production amount could go away completely.
OPEC is very happy with Biden. Venezuela will be too. Iran is increasing production again, very happy with Biden.

The amount of oil now coming from federal lands has broader geopolitical significance, giving the US a large enough stake in the world oil market to prevent the OPEC oil cartel from setting crude prices, said Sarp Ozkan, director of energy analysis at the industry data firm Enverus.

I was wondering.

Well....Biden said he would stop fracking on federal land, so we all saw this coming. I guess at least he was honest about it.

Between this and stopping keystone there will be a lot of people out of work.

Just in a few first days, Biden is wiping out hundreds of thousands of jobs for Americans, and in a time of terrible unemployment numbers too. That is pretty devastating for workers here.
When you tear apart industries on a large scale, you cant build up something else quickly to replace it.

It may be more than 10 % because the federal government owns so much land west of the Mississippi River.

Buyer's Remorse: Ute Indian Tribe Lashes Out at Biden Admin For Restricting Federal Energy Development, "Direct Attack on Our Economy and Sovereignty"

A twist that I had not thought of, indian lands. Here the UTE tribe is angered by Biden destroying thousands of their jobs, which I suppose they can do that due to Indian lands really being under the control of the Federal government.
Clean burning Natural Gas is high on Biden's list for phase out termination, as is coal and oil. Guess what happens when you restrict the supply of natural gas, which generates much of our electricity, well your electric bills will necessarily skyrocket. Those are the words Obama used in an interview when he was running for POTUS and if his energy policies were enacted. Obama was stopped due to the severe economic downturn late 2008 and forward, but it seems Biden does not care about any of this, he even said he likely will die in office, not finish his term, so what does he have to lose, now that he is in, his total goal is the GND, and not reality, feasibility, practicality or public perceptions.

They are now saying that Biden’s stupid energy policy could cost a million jobs. That senile old man is unfit for any job.
