Biden: "We have to spend all this money so we won't go bankrupt."

I bet Obama lies awake at night and curses the day he asked this PR-train-wreck-a-day to be VP.

Vice President Joe Biden told people attending an AARP town hall meeting that unless the Democrat-supported health care plan becomes law the nation will go bankrupt and that the only way to avoid that fate is for the government to spend more money.

http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=51162

So...he calls our nation's financial situation "unsustainable," and his solution is to do MORE of what got us there???

We should repent of any and every Dan Quayle joke any of us ever made. I honestly don't know how Biden dresses himself. His logic--we're going broke, let's spend more--wouldn't get him out of second grade.

Maybe our nation--stupid as we are--will learn that ANY TIME a D or R politician (Bush was good at it...so is Obama and Biden) says,

irresponsible politicians said:
"We must do this today or...(fill in your own made-up, dire scenario; that's what they do)...."

...we should tell them to get lost.

I mean, just listen to this idiot. These quotes are in the SAME SPEECH...

Joe Biden said:
And folks look...the status quo is simply not acceptable,” Biden said at the (AARP) event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. “It’s totally unacceptable. And it’s completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it now. It can’t do it financially.”

“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.

“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that's what I’m telling you.”

Sometimes, electing a harmless idiot at least allows up a few laughs. Unfortunately, Biden appears to be a dangerous idiot. God help us all if we reelect him.

Sounds like the logic used by the military in Vietnam, "We have to destroy this friendly village before it becomes an enemy village."

Personally, I'm kinda' guessin' that President Obama might not be the first President to find that he might be at odds with a thing or two about his VP.

Let's see.

FDR - Wallace
DDE - Nixon
JFK - L. B. Johnson
RMN - Agnew
GRF - Rockefeller
GHWB - Quayle
WJC - Gore
GWB - Cheney
BHO- Biden

Yup!

Get elected, first - After that - ???

Does sound kinda' like a familiar tune.

I actually have a lot of respect for the Veep. He is a lot better than Cheney, who is just evil; and nowhere near the level of dumbness achieved by Dan Quayle. Does he misspeak on occasion? Of course. But remember too, the job of Vice President is basically going to events and funerals. With a 60 vote Senate majority, it is doubtful he will get to be a tie breaking vote in that body. Besides, he has a distinguished career as US Senator from Delaware.

...and to think he is only a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Or did that only apply to Sarah Palin?

But he wasn't misspeaking this time...

This idiot actually believes the only way to save our country from bankruptcy is to spend...

Actually his boss believes the same thing...

As do most democrats....

Yep, when your going down... spend more....

Hey, at least we will go out with a bang!

going to nail us, no matter what we do.
So we might as well have a good time.

Toga! Toga! Toga!"

So you guys up for a toga party?

You just don't get it.

The reason California is going bankrupt is because they haven't spent enough.

Wow...it's hard to even pretend to be as stupid as Joe Biden.

Biden is a complete and total idiot.

Perfect compliment to an empty suit like Obama.

Biden "misspeaks", but Quayle's on his own level of idiocy? Ridiculous. Biden and Quayle are pretty much the same guy in terms of saying stupid things.

Au contrare' m'friend, not only have they learned - it's their model!

No I'm not being sarcastic! I firmly believe that the "0" is purposely trying to bankrupt this nation to:
A Render his regime continuity, or
B Put us in the position of reliance on some (Muslim perhaps???) foreign power(s), or
C Soften the ease with which the UN can be called on for "aid" to the US, or
D Some other nefarious purpose not readily apparent, or
E All of the above or any combination thereof!!!

What kind of though process would lead someone to think like this. Unbelievable!

Hum...........
Makes perfect sense to me.

Ask the many people who've had bankruptcy.

Reckon they knew that the solution was so easy..... they could get out of it by SPENDING MORE MONEY.

Neat. Is this a new 'preventative' solution for keeping bankruptcy away?

(Idiot thinking....... Biden. Does he think AARP is stupid? Maybe, AARP members are 'too old' to think for themselves. No doubt some of them are tired of thinking.... and some of them can't.... but many seniors are not really that stupid. Don't know that they are represented properly by AARP.... but that's another thread.)
