Apparently being Father of the year has absolutely nothing to do with being a father.

Our Philanthropic Purpose

The Father's Day/Mother's Day Council, Inc. is a not-for- profit , all volunteer, membership association with a mission that highlights contemporary role model Mothers and Fathers and their importance in the family . In tandem to that mission, the organization follows a goal to channel funds raised at its keystone annual events the "Outstanding Mother" Awards and the "Father of the Year" Awards to help support meaningful organizations dealing with issues affecting mothers, fathers and children.

Our Philanthropic mission is second only to honoring the importance of Mothers and Fathers. The Father's Day/Mother's Day Council has sponsored the donation of nearly $32 million dollars to deserving family and related charities nationwide. In 2011 alone, more than $4.2 million was awarded to our charity partners with the support of the Council's involvement.

This is a liberal fundraising ploy to help fund whatever knucklehead organizations they can. And Clinton would bring in big bucks from his liberal buddies.

That's exactly what I thought.

One of the fundamental responsibilities of a father is to maintain his marriage through fidelity, love, honor and respect for his wife.

He has not been consistent in that regard - notoriously so. I certainly hope he is better than he used to be, but during the crucial, formative years for his daughter, he was not. That has to have had an adverse affect on the way she views marriage and whether or not she can trust any man in her life to be faithful.

This organization giving the award is a fraud. It is nothing more than a liberal fundraising organization that gives awards to get high profile people to come help raise them funds.

Clinton was named the “Father of the Year” by the National Father’s Day Council on Wednesday.

The group selected Clinton for his “profound generosity, leadership and tireless dedication to both his public office and many philanthropic organizations,” Dan Orwig, chairman of the National Father’s Day Committee, said in the announcement.

Well, if Mike Brady could get that title on The Brady Bunch, maybe it fits that Slick Willie can, too.

Or it may just be that his politics don't affect his ability to be a good father to his daughter.

I don't however understand what his “profound generosity, leadership and tireless dedication to both his public office and many philanthropic organizations" has to do with being a father.
