Good Red State opinion piece:

Bill O’Reilly and the Right’s Morality Problem

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Right has a morality problem. It is evident in the leaders of the party and some of the pundits we misguidedly idolize.

Bill O’Reilly is the latest example.

Our world has a morality problem, it's called sin. Every moment of every day it oozes through the pores of humanity. It infests us and leaves us dead in our trespasses. We desperately need a Redeemer.

But....but...Bill Clinton!

(Just thought I'd throw it out there first. You know it's coming.)

Mr. O'Riley has only been accused - - and already found guilty by the mainstream media.

It has come to my attention that by using Clinton to cover every wrongdoing, it is a tacit admission that the person being defended is no better than Clinton. Its all about Tribalism at this point.

Morality is man-made ideologies.

Scriptures teach about Godliness, Holiness, and Fruit of the Spirit.

Let the world keep their morality.

No, I see it as more of a double standard.

Now, if it is proved, that Mr. O'Riley is guilty - that will be another story.

But have we even heard the actual accusations?

Did he call a female "Honey" (heaven forbid

Just what is the "Rest of the Story"?

Your right it is also a double standard. One that has been on full display for the last year or so now.

Now I have not been following the O Riley story, (you will not find any post where I say yea or nay about him) I was responding to the "But Clinton Defense" that is used so readily to defend anyone in the tribe. It has been eye opening and tragic to me to see how much like the left Republican have become when it comes to tribalism.

Proved huh. Like say Hilary's last year of congressional hearings? Like Bill Clinton's sexual assault charges over the years? Did they get this generous benefit of the doubt with regards to your standard of "proven guilty"? I doubt it. Double standard indeed.

Bill Clinton was impeached for that (an absurd political action by the GOP). But if you want to bring that up the logical extension is that trump should be impeached for doing far worse things than Clinton did.

I definitely agree that we all need a redeemer. But the law of the law must be adhered to or we will have anarchy. You could use your statement to ignore mass murders, armed robberies, fire-bombing churches, etc.

No you couldn't.

The Redeemer still takes the punishment as the substitute. The rule of law is not ignored...it is fulfilled.
