Is it ok to use contraception/birth control to prevent births? I think it is ok so long as one does not use an abortifacient form of birth control or contraception.

We already fruited and multiplied, we've filled the earth... but some of the fruit is rotten. :tear:hawg_427 said:I thought that is why God put us on the earth, to be fruitful and multiply.
What do you consider rotten Black, Oriental, Red, Brown or White? If you say some of every race, who made you judge over what God has brought forth? A lot of the greatest contributors to humanity, in the arts and sciences have been orphans and illegitimate "unwanted" children.Deacon said:We already fruited and multiplied, we've filled the earth... but some of the fruit is rotten. :tear:

I guess that's one rule the Catholics have that's good. Birth Control is a BIG NO NO. Now being of the medical field I can understand if you have a condition that being pregnant or giving birth would prove harmful to yourself or the baby.
I'm a Christian and have 2 children. I want no more. The old saying comes into play with me, "I wouldn't take a million bucks for my kids, and I wouldn't take a million bucks to have anymore." With a world that is full, I think we have been fruitful and multiplied. Where do you stop hawg_427? How many is affordable? How many is enough to have fulfilled the "be fruitful and multiply" thing?hawg_427 said:Unwanted Children?????? What Christian would not want children?

I only have two, but has God given new commandment to cease and desist? For replenishment 4 is the number. The burden for our care is going to bankrupt our Children. I'm not talking about my two but the rest of the baby boomers that will enter retirement will overload Social Security and Health Care. Why? 49 million reasons why.JerryL said:I'm a Christian and have 2 children. I want no more. Two Children to go and have a family of their own will have an aging father and mother plus a MIL and FIL to care for. Four people to be a burden plus their own children. If any family is to be faithful to God's call for replenishment then 4 children and more is the number.
