On Monday, a Rasmussen poll showed that a full 57 percent of black Americans believe that Officer Darren Wilson ought to be found guilty of murder for his shooting of unarmed 18-year-old black man Michael Brown. Meanwhile, 56 percent of white Americans believe there is not enough information to decide yet.

Clearly, the second position is correct. We simply do not have enough information at this point to determine whether Officer Wilson used excessive force, let alone whether he “executed” Brown, as the Brown family lawyers and Jesse Jackson claim.

But facts are of no relevance to many members of the black community, apparently. In June 2013, a poll showed that a full 86 percent of blacks believe that they do not get equal treatment under the law. Which means that for a huge swath of the black community, every time a black person and a white person are involved in a racial case, knee-jerk support for the black person is merited.

This is why the race card is tossed into the ring every time a white man shoots a black man! It has gotten so old it is stale and moldy!

When will the blacks wake up and realize they are not being singled out? If America were singling anyone out, I would think it would illegal aliens! Or Muslims! Not blacks! Why not the Indians? Of all the races in this country, the only one complaining and whooping and hollering is the black race! Can we just move this parade along and stop with the racism?

Not everything is done to a black person by a white man is carrying out an age-old order to exterminate the black race!

I think the distrust and racism in America is an age-old ploy to riot and create civil unrest! And to be truthful, Obama should be using his office to show blacks that America needs to live together, in peace, not divided every time a race issue surface!

Sure there are corrupt and bad cops, and those are, for the most, brought to justice and removed from the streets. However, as Americans, we should not have to go around holding our breath and praying every time a white man k a black!

Maybe it's time that the whites start protesting every time a black cop kills a white man?

If this guy is a cold-blooded killer, the system will take care of it, but it has to be allowed time to gather the right facts. After all, a rush to judgement will affect a man's life and the life of his loved ones. We've already had one man killed. Let's not make it an eye for an eye, at least until all the forensics are in!

I believe that these #'s are completely accurate. With the methods Rasmussen uses for polling, they are very likely not polling large parts of the black community that would side with the 57%. Rasmussen is getting their poll answers from those with traditional land lines and people that take the time to do a poll online. In both cases, I think they are missing a large segment that would align with "guilty before evidence".

Bottomline I think 57% is low...probably closer to 70%.

Simple. They were found guilty of committing more crimes.

Well said....I do not want to appear racist, but I have had more legal run ins with those two races than any other. And the majority of gangs in California are comprised of Hispanics and blacks. Watch our late night news and time after time the killers and rapist are non white. However the whites are usually behind the white and blue collar crimes.

But blacks and Hispanics have the highest unemployment rates, and that is a problem as it lowers ones self esteem. We need to do better as a country in making job training and jobs available for Americans, NOT illegal's, and again that is a corporate transgression, hiring illegal's because they work for low wages. Big business is partly at fault for high crime rates with non white races because of greed and breaking laws.

We are ALL to blame in a lot of ways.
