Racism is the belief that one race is better than another.
Calling attention does not do that.

Definition of racism
1: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
Definition of RACISM
When you call attention to one race at the exclusion of all other races, you are by defacto creating an assumption of superiority or giving a special status.

As one of my history professors said when asked if we were going to study black history during black history month. "We study history. When we come to a black person in history, we will study him." She said "I don't see many black people in our book.". His response was "I authored the book. Inclusion in the text is based on contribution to society, not race."

What is your church doing for Black History Month?

Preaching the gospel of Christ, which is important for all races.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Revelation 7:9-10 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

From this web page: Data & Statistics on Sickle Cell Disease | CDC

is this info:
  • SCD affects approximately 100,000 Americans.
  • SCD occurs among about 1 out of every 365 Black or African-American births..
  • About 1 in 13 Black or African-American babies is born with sickle cell trait (SCT).
This website call attention to one race. Am I saying they are better than other races or giving them special status?

Actually -for this disease the blacks have it much worse!

You sure love to play In left field!. While you out there, say hey to JonC.
Why don't you have white history month celebration at your church? Celebrate white history and such. Be sure you do so at the exclusion of all other races.
Be sure to invite a speaker from the NAAWP.
Sound racist to you now?
