Black people are never going to be successful...because of black people

Black people are like any other 'category' of people: Some are successful, others aren't. One of my Black neighbors is a physician. Another, who grew up next door, is college professor with a PHD and another neighbor is a building contractor.. My Black customers are successful businessmen. There are many Black congressmen on the state and federal level. I live near a small town where people get along for the most part and I think that most of the "unsuccessful" people are the ones stuck in urban environments, no matter what "color" they are. But I would add that the "leftist" media are causing great harm to this nation by constantly teaching people to blame others.

The majority of people, instead of thinking for themselves, go with the "herd" mentality. Radical elements in our society continue to divide the "herds", as they have for years, with the "us and them" mentality. It's tough to break out of because of peer pressure. People need to follow Jesus, instead of the world.

I have so many add-ons and flash block programs that your post was blank. I had to quote you to get anything and even then it only showed the last part of the URL that I had to copy and replace on youtube to see.

Forum postings of YT videos just don't work well for the most part for the security conscious.

After watching the video it reminded me of that ATLAN black preacher. He gets some things right, some things wrong. Same with Barkley.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqx9vyE2tkc

Barkley once thought about running for governor for the state of Alabama, he was all over the plate in his quotes. One minute he was ticking off black folks and next white folks. He never ran because his poll numbers were horrible.

That said, there is a glimpse of wisdom in what he says, blacks (as a whole) do tend to frown on certain segments of their own population. You have seen it with their hatred of Clarance Thomas to various prominent political black conservatives (Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell).

Nope, he knows his own community well.

Nope, he knows his own community well.

I know Barkley well, went to school with him and Bo Jackson. The round mound of rebound (he was rather heavyset in college), has always been a colorful personality, but when it came to politics he was hit and miss.

Barkley has claimed to have lost 10 million dollars due to gambling.... it was his own money, but cutting down his race about not knowing how to handle money is sorta (dare I say it) hypocritical.

"I'm serious. I've got to get people to realize that the government is full of it. Republicans and Democrats want to argue over stuff that's not important, like gay marriage or the war in Iraq or illegal immigration..." ----Charles Barkley

I used to love watching Rev. Manning. He caused me to ruin a computer. I was watching one of his sermons and he said "Barrack Hussein Obama is not the first Black President. He is the first half breed President." When he said that, I laughed so hard I spit my coffee into my laptop computer.

That is a complete mischaracterization of what he said

Didn't really say much about what he said, just said it reminded me of something (character of Black community). I was more making small talk than being serious. If I missed something, set me straight, won't be the first time I goofed.

Also little fuzzy on if you meant Barkley or Atlan fellow on knowing their community. Pronoun wasn't exactly pointing to either of them clearly for me to decide. Forgive me.

I am from the South, may have to type slower for me... lol

War Eagle! I was class of '87.

Barkley was already gone by the time I got to the Plains, but Bo was there. He and I talked but we weren't really friends.

Now, Greg Olson and Frank Thomas, I knew really well.
