Hard to take criticism of EY Mullins seriously if it comes from anyone associated with the current administration at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary...particularly when it tries to implicate that Princeton provides a better way.

Henry Blackaby: Charismatic Teacher in the SBC
The OP asked for a review of "Experiencing God" and you gave him a review of "Fresh Encounter". Interesting.
Not too interesting. I did a review of EG too, I think, but I couldn't find it. I no longer have access to all my Xanga articles. Fresh Encounter is pretty similar in foundation than EG.
Meat and bones. There is good stuff, take that.
You really think the average person in the pew is going to discuss the finer points of experience verses doctrine, Mullins verses Princeton theologians (false dichotomy, false dichotomy). I seriously doubt it. Get what you can get, move along.
I believe the Bible is enough of a book to help me experience God. :type:
Has anyone worked their way through Henry and Richard Blackaby's book called, "Experiencing God"? [Lifeway Press, 2007]
Did you go through it as an individual or as a group? (or both?)
What did you think of it?
Was it a faith-building experience?
Did you have any problems with their presentation?
What were the strengths? ...weaknesses?
Rob
Have you ever been bless by someone that had been comforted and shared that with you?
It is borderline mystic.
