I don't understand this. Just because the fine is paid does not remove one from being a felon.

Sure is, most cant pay back what they owe and never do. It was only very recently, DeSantis managed to block felons from voting by saying first they had to pay back all they owe.

I don't see how this scheme can be called anything but vote buying. as well as racial discrimination. 32,000 just happens to be roughly the margin DeSantis won over coke freak Gillum two years ago, what a coincidence.

Concerning the sale of firearms, states can impose stricter laws concerning gun sales. They must abide however at least to the Federal laws.

So, my question is, can the felon in Florida who had his fine paid, still buy guns. The answer is no. He is still a felon and will not pass a background check. If Florida wants to allow a felon to vote, then that is up to them. Go ahead, let the criminals dictate your politics.
