LOL I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt on that.

A buddy of mine got a chance to talk with him during a smoke break a few months ago during a stopover at our local airport. From what he told me, he seems like the genuine article. He got the impression that Boehner seemed to be feeling like he was fighting a rear-guard action and was frustrated.

Second that. We don't know all of what happens behind closed doors, but after what my friend told me of their conversation (side note: I consider him to be a better than average judge of character. His impression was that Boehner needed a friendly face to vent his frustrations to and was not politicking.);my hope that there are still a few left in Washington trying to do what's best for the nation is renewed, albeit slightly.
