They can only respond with saving faith once enabled to do such by the Holy Spirit!
Again no citation and no complaint!!
I provided the biblical references to the doctrine of faith before regeneration. You simply ignored them. Go figure.

How about saved by grace through faith? Thus our faith had to exist in order to be utilitzed in God's bestowal of grace.
Or Romans 5:1-2? On and on, but the Falselogy proponents simply ignore scripture and post falsehoods.

And of course, not all of those who affirmatively respond to the gospel are credited by God with righteous faith.

Van says here that God Credits "those who affirmatively respond to the gospel", with righteous faith.

To me, that is 100%, "those who affirmatively respond to the gospel" that "God Credits" "with righteous faith" (or, at least 50% man/ 50% God).

Yet another Falselogy proponent who cannot read, or pretends he cannot read.

The quote is NOT ALL those who... thus not 100%. But did that stop the poster from posting obvious falsehood? Nope.
And what about Romans 9:16 which says salvation does not depend on what a person wills or does? Apparently not in Alan's bible. If a person puts his or her faith in Christ, why if salvation follows it depends 50% on the person. Hogwash.

5 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

King James Bible
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Romans 8:30-34
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified…

Romans 4:20 Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

ABRAHAM WAS GIVEN BELIEF IN THE DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

21 being fully persuaded that God was able to do what He had promised.

22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”f

ABRAHAM WAS UNGODLY BEFORE GOD GAVE HIM LIFE TO BELIEVE.

King James Bible
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

ABRAHAM HAD "FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST", IN WHAT JESUS WOULD DO, NOT "SELF-CONTAINED BLIND FAITH, IN NOTHING, THAT GOD "PATTED HIM ON THE BACK FOR PRODUCING.

When any lost sinner responds to the good news, its due to the Holy Spirit enabling them to do such, as he must first regenerate them and grant them saving faith!

Van says that individuals are chosen for salvation AFTER THEY HAVE "FAITH" and God Pats them on the back, for doing so and, THEN, "Credits their faith" and gives them "righteousness".

Recall individuals are chosen for salvation through or by way of their credited faith.

Sheer unbiblical nonsense, so just a wordy obfuscation post.

1) We have access to the grace in which we stand "by faith." Therefore we had faith which was utilized by God in bestowing salvation.

2) If, in God's view, we believe in Him who justifies the ungodly, then God will count (reckon, credit) as righteousness

3) whom God predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ, He called (transferred to within Christ's spiritual body), where he or she was justified by the washing of regeneration and also glorified as a sibling of Christ, blameless and holy..

4) Yes trusting in the promises is the deep conviction of faith.

5) Abraham was not given an understanding of the gospel during his physical lifetime. He trusted in God's promises.

Rom 4:20-22
yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,

and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
Therefore IT WAS ALSO CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Since when does "Faith in Christ" have to do with "Your faith (in nothing, just "having Faith") credited by God for righteousness?

If a person puts his or her faith in Christ

I get no credit for what the LORD has done... Its his Faith that saved me not mine and if you for a moment think your faith saved you... Then Christ is dead in vain!... Brother Glen:)

Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

ABRAHAM HAD FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST THAT WAS GIVEN TO HIS UNGODLY, SPIRITUALLY DEAD, SOUL.

More nonsense, he just makes up false charges and no one holds him accountable Did I cite 2 Thessalonians 2:13 which refers to faith in the truth? Not faith in nothing.

.2) If, in God's view, we believe in Him who justifies the ungodly, then God will count (reckon, credit) as righteousness
Is this faith in nothing?

Where is JOJ's requirement to provide a souse for the claim Abraham had faith in Jesus Christ during his physical lifetime. Crikets.

Scripture says Abraham had faith in God's promises, see Romans 4.

FAITH IS THE GIFT OF GOD.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

IT IS CALLED, "sanctification of the Spirit", BECAUSE salvation must come through the Holy Spirit worked/ wrought BELIEF IN THE TRUTH, WHICH IS? THE BIBLE MESSAGE OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST'S DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESSURECTION.

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

CORRECT. THE PROMISE OF GOD'S REDEEMER, JESUS, THE SAVIOR.

ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD COULD RAISE ONE FROM THE DEAD.
