Is there anyone here on BB that still wears a Bow Tie?

I think America needs a comeback for Bow ties.

I don't agree with the comeback...but my 15-year old likes bow ties (probably from watching Dr. Who), and has taught himself how to tie one.

Me, only with a tuxedo, and only pre-tied.

I've thought about it for church. If nothing else it would be different than the normal open collar dress/sport shirt I normally wear.

I've thought about it ... for maybe a half-second. Didn't even wear one for our wedding. It was a formal cravat.

I really have no desire to look like Les Nessman ...

... nor do I have any desire for someone to walk up to me and present me with the "Silver Sow" award.

I used to wear a bow tie in college. My way of rebelling since ties were required. I also wore a bright gold double breasted blazer with black pinstripes and orange buttons. Was told to retire that jacket quick.

Never thought about it much, but I suppose I could give it a try. Maybe a pink one in my hair. Sounds pretty. I agree that we should all try wearing one.

If someone wants to wear a bow tie that is their choice. I don't wear a tie at all if I can help it, and then it's not a bow tie. Wore a "regular" tie with the tux at my wedding.

I have only worn a Bolo tie when I was working with the Boy Scouts. It does fit well in this area. Maybe at Cowboy Church.
