Brain Twister - No Cheating!!

Quick Eye Exam...

This will blow your mind...!

Just do it - don't cheat!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try this it's actually quite good.

But don't cheat!

Count the number of F's in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE
RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

Managed it?

Scroll down only after you have counted them!

How many?

Three?

Wrong, there are six - no joke!

Read again!

FINISHED FILES ARE THE
RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC
STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
EXPERIENCE OF YEARS

The reasoning is further down...

The brain cannot process the word "OF".

Incredible or what?

Anyone who counts all six F's on the first go is a genius
Three is normal.

_____________________________________________________________

I looked and looked and looked and could only find THREE - for the life of me i could find no more - my brain didn't even compute the word 'OF', much less see it!!

OK, how many geniuses do we have in the group???

Be honest!!

Yep, got 6...
Of course I seen it 20 yrs ago...

And have used it as a sermon illustration... So I had a heads up!

It's real fun to pick out a 1st grader from the congregation that is just learning to read, and a school teacher, and let them go head to head over it!

The 1st Grader always sees all the Fs while the teacher usually sees only 3.

The reason: 1st graders are still learning to read, and still see letters as one at a time.

I have used this as an example of how much we miss around us..
Or how much we miss while reading the Bible that we thought we know.
Or how many people we miss witnessing too...

Etc...

I counted all 6..... but that's because I'm a slow reader: I never got reading pass letter for letter, unfortunately, because I like to read... but it consumes my time. Tried to learn speed reading... but my brain never got into the act. Same with driving.... take in lots of detail: I don't understand how people can multitask behind the wheel, carry on a conversation with a passenger and look for an address and still keep a vehicle on the road, avoid bad moves by others and obey the signs.

LOL, thanks for posting.
No genius here!
