It was shockingly unsurprising when he deadpanned Biden's certain guilt for murder and then laughed at the hostess and audience for trying to laugh it off as a joke. Some gall there. Biden in a late show appearance talking about an old photograph of his sons when they were teenagers, experienced a visual technical glitch. His teleprompter reflected and was transmitted to the late show. He is a poor reader so it is no surprise but it is astonishing that he needed a teleprompter to talk about his family. He probably has some short term memory loss.

If completely untrue it is "FAKE NEWS" and if true it is a disability that renders the candidate unfit for the office he is running for. That is "SO WHAT!" The story matters and has potential relevance to the upcoming political election.

Is anyone really voting FOR Joe Biden? I don't mean that in any "mean spirited" sense, but Joe represents the ideals of the so called "Southern Democrat" of half a century ago. The "moderate" democrat that is pro-life and pro social reform. That is not the core of the base in 2020. It seems to me that even if the Democratic candidate was rolled up in a wheelchair drooling on himself most of the party base would turn out to vote AGAINST Trump.

So what would Biden gain from a debate? He would need to continue to thread a fine needle between a lifetime of moderate personal beliefs (and a voting record to support them) and a more liberal party platform that he has been recently forced to embrace. He has a small chance to appeal to undecided moderates and a large chance of offending his liberal base.

The fact that Biden (or any candidate) uses a prompter to read scripted statements during a campaign season comes as no surprise to me. However, the question of whether Joe NEEDS a prompter to function raises serious questions that he should address. A debate would serve to put to rest, once and for all, whether or not Joe is mentally capable of being President.

For that reason, I would expect only one Presidential debate, and a fairly short debate. Just to prove to undecided moderates that Joe can think on his own.

Democrats outnumber Republicans by several million votes and it has been a long time since a Republican Presidential candidate won the popular vote. I think that 2020 will look much like 2016 in results but that 2020 has the feel of 1968 because of the race riots and rich white kids riots. There is millions and millions of dollars in damages, which means that a Biden win will discourage investment and the ruined areas will stay ruined. The Magnificent Mile in Chicago, sort of a midwest Rodeo Drive is gone and will not be rebuilt no matter what. Some are saying that the recession will last until 2022. Downtown Indianapolis is begging people to visit downtown, where 3 people were murdered in the riots. No thanks. People are moving out of NYC, out of California, and out of Chicago. Restaurants are not re-opening.

Another question for you, suppose that Biden does have cognitive issues and Harris is able to force him to resign for medical reasons after the election. Who would a President Harris select for her new Vice-President.? Hillary?
