There is a little bit of a difference.

Obama is in the position of silencing his critics with the force of law contrary to the rights to freedom of speech.

Rush Limbaugh is not in the same position of power to do so.

The power to impose one's will upon another is what creates the danger.

How would the rest of the world view America if our government started trampling the rights of free speech of it's critics? I only ask because what other countries think about the U.S. seems to be very important to you.

Are you saying the president has no first amendment rights to free speech?

There is no real downside if Rush lies about Obama. There is a big downside if Obama lies about Rush. Seems that Rush has an advantage there. You agree?

As I said, Rush says he is an entainer, so why take him seriously?

If you were a US Senator would you take Rush's advice seriously?

You can tell what people fear by what they warn others about.

Obama genuinely fears Rush because he knows that Rush is perhaps the only person in this country that can cause real problems for him. He knows that the culture of Washington (by and large) isn't a problem causing culture, particularly with the Dems in power. The Republicans will not do to anyone what the left did to Bush. But the danger is in the people at large, and Rush is a huge influencer of the blogosphere.

So I think Obama is scared of Rush.

I also think it was another example of immaturity and lack of wisdom to call him out. Virtually everyone knows that you don't wake a sleeping monster. You let him lay. Don't provoke him. Obama apparently doesn't have enough saavy to know that.

The biggest lie is the assumption that any of the elected republicans are listening to Rush. They have not listened to him for 8 years why should they start now?

I wish they would listen to Rush, if they did they would not have lost the congress or the white house. We have been force fed this steady stream of spineless liberal republicans and we are told they are better than the leftest democrats. BO may be the most liberal president we have ever had but don't forget that W was pretty liberal himself.

I wish they would listen to Rush.

We sure don't need this "stimulus" bill. Suspending income taxes would work faster and cheaper. Don't kid yourself for a second thinking that the Democrats really care about our economy. They were very happy with $4 a gallon gas, it gave them the excuse to push their economy stifling energy plan. Democrats don't want a growing economy, they want an economy they can control. They want a majority of voters dependent on them for their next meal. They don't want successful wealthy citizens, they want serfs they can keep in subjection.

Take Rush at his word ... he says he is an entertrainer. So why take him seriously? If he is to be taken seriously then John Stewart should also be taken seriously.

There is a big difference. Rush is right.

YOU mean "left on the dial, right on the issues"

This is all fodder that Obama is collecting for the fairness doctrine.

We seen last week how frustrated Obama gets when he is questioned.

He doesn't have the coolness the media says he has when he is under fire.

Right as in right politically on the issues ... and often reporting misinformation.

This is all fodder that Obama is collecting for the fairness doctrine.

Is Rush fair?

We seen last week how frustrated Obama gets when he is questioned.

He doesn't have the coolness the media says he has when he is under fire.

In your dreams.

and often reporting misinformation.
Often implied but seldom if ever proved.

Can you give me a case where Rush reported misinformation?

He occasionally gets minor facts wrong or misstates something, and always follows up with a correction.

Often his attackers will take quotations that Rush makes like the "Magic Negro" statement where he was quoting David Ehrenstein from the Los Angeles Times and claim Rush was the source of the comment. Others will twist his opinions and claim Rush states them as facts.

The truth is Rush is right, right on the political dial and right in his facts. You can disagree with his opinions. You have every right to. But the facts remain the same.

I will defend your right to be wrong. Rush is an entertainer, not a serious political voice. He admits this in his more honest moments.

Al Franken is also an entertainer but he may well be a US senator.

Al Franken is a foul mouthed blight upon humanity , no matter where he is or what he does.

I see you are being polite today. Have a blessed day.
Thank you! Attempts at mis-quotation have that effect on me!

Can't blame you personally though; it's been a great tactic that liberals have used for years, so I'm sure it's a hard habit to break. (That is if you are interested in breaking the habit?!)

Hope you have a blessed day also; 'course any day with Jesus is a blessed day!

CTB is known for twisting words when he's run out of talking points. You will have to get used to it.
