"BREAKING. Martha McSally Appointed to US Senate

"Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has announced that he has appointed Representative Martha McSally to fill out the seat being vacated by the resignation of Jon Kyl. This move has been rumored/expected since McSally managed to lose her contest with Krysten “Arizona is the meth lab of democracy” Synema.

It is hard to object to McSally’s appointment. She’s established a reputation as a serious Member and a solid worker. The danger lies two years down the road when the seat must be defended. McSally has demonstrated that she’s a lethargic, uninspired, and uninspiring candidate for both House and Senate. McSally’s loss was not caused by some huge seismic shift in Arizona politics. As she was losing to a candidate who had denigrated the state and said it was fine for Americans to join the Taliban, Ducey beat his rival for governor by 14 points. McSally’s loss was a direct reflection on her weakness as a candidate.

I fear with McSally’s appointment we have moved a “safe” or “leans” Republican Senate seat into the “leans” Democrat column."

Didn't Susan Collins though really stand up for Judge Cavanaugh though?
Yes, and that after demonstration after demonstration at her offices, a death threat or two, and something like $4 million pledged thru the internet to whomever runs against her in 2020 (should she choose to run - she usually delays such announcements.)

For mainly one reason. She thought he was pro Roe vs. Wade.

She was right.

If she had thought otherwise , she would not have voted for confirmation.

If he is pro-choice how do you explain the rabid opposition by liberals?

Typically, a Senator appointed like this would be sworn in ASAP to gain seniority. But that would end up making the Democrat Kristen Senema the state's junior Senator in January.
So GOP Governor Doug Ducey has decided that Martha McSally's swearing-in will be put on hold so Senema can achieve her personal goal of being the first female Senator from Arizona.

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema will be Arizona's senior U.S. senator, Gov. Doug Ducey says

Yeah, been hearing the rumor that McSally was going to be appointed to fill this seat, not surprised now that it's a reality. I still think Sinema stole that seat from her, but if not, Arizonans have made a worse mistake then voting Flake, Kyl and McCain in combined. I do think Martha is a RINO, but she's not Code Pink and she's not McCain's snobby wife or overweight daughter, RINO central HQ.

I gave up trying to explain the actions of the left a long time ago. But my guess is he was appointed by Trump. That's all it took.

And I didn't say he was "pro choice" , but that she felt he was pro
R v W and, I should have added, would not overturn it. She was right.

Their rabid reaction goes much deeper than just the abortion issue or TDS. Stacking the judiciary with progressive activist judges is essential to the socialist's long term strategy, and Kavanaugh definitely didn't fill the bill.

I'd love to see Trump replace RBG.

Maybe he is "pro" in the sense that one needs to not just make it repelled and thus automatically illegal, much more complicated than just that!
