BREAKING: SCOTUS Has Made a Decision on President Trump's Tax Returns

In case anyone is interested in the topic of the OP, despite what Calminian claims, Trump has not reversed his stance on releasing his tax returns. He expects to do it as soon as the audit is over. (I would think the audit process on his 2015 taxes were done by now.)

This was mentioned in a press briefing at the White House yesterday by press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. Go to the 7:52 mark.

If you can't see YouTube, here is the transcript from the White House:

Q So to be clear — okay, fine. I don’t dispute anything that you just said. What I’m asking, though, is the President — whatever the court says, the President can release his taxes whenever he likes. So why shouldn’t Americans, at this point, believe that the President isn’t trying to hide something in there?

MS. MCENANY: You know, the media has been asking this question for four years, and for four years, the President has said the same thing: His taxes are under audit, and when they’re no longer under audit, he will release them.

--AND--

Q Thank you, Kayleigh. I’ll try to barrel through these quickly. Are the President’s taxes still under audit, and specifically which years?

MS. MCENANY: The President’s taxes are still under audit. I don’t have years for you.

Q Okay. Let me ask you, if I can: He could release his taxes at any time. This case went all the way to the Supreme Court. His own nominees ruled against him. Why shouldn’t the American public, at this point, believe that the President has something he’s trying to hide?

MS. MCENANY: First, let me note something: The taxes are under audit. He said he released — he would release them when they are no longer under audit.

Trump no longer wishes to make his returns public. He may after his second term, but probably never, due to the frivolous lawsuits being thrown about. Would you?

I think he once was willing in good faith, until he leaned how the left weaponizes law. We saw that with Flynn and the bogus Mueller investigation. With saw it with the bogus impeachment.

What's really interesting is why you (a big Trump guy) are salivating over these returns. Please share.

Yet he says he wants to release them, but the audit process is stopping him somehow.

Wow, you are a MACHINE. There you go again, ascribing motivations to someone that does not have them. Trying to deflect and make the thread about me.

I am not salivating over his tax returns. I'm simply pointing out that he said he would release them when the audit process is done. Surely, the audit of his 2015 taxes is over. Why hasn't he released them?

And there you go again, ignoring my post. The answer is in post 24.

Now please, why are you so obsessed with this? We know why the left is, but you're taking the 5th.

I'm not obsessed with it. LOOK AT THE THREAD TITLE.

With Rush? Sure seems that way.

The tax return issue is what it is. We know why leftists want them. They're not going to get them, though. From what I understand, that court ruling isn't all it's cracked up to be. The 7-2 should be a clue.
