Breakup in the ABCUSA

I know that I get labeled a little bit even on this board as a fundamentalist or whatever.

But, a handful of fringe churches are leading the thousands of 'Godly' churches astray ...

I do not envy you. Associate with sin in the hope that sinners might repent, or run from sin in the hope that the sinners might repent.

I pray that you will be able to do the right thing for God.

 

Start a new association and offer to support them through that. It is not that hard. Don't be dependent on evil to do good.

Ultimately we may be looking at a new denomination evolving. But some, well most, of the churches i have talked to that are thinking of leaving the ABC-USA are just going independent.
It is sort of like let's hurry up and separate from the evil -- then what do we do?
If a church wants to go, and God is leading them to, go for it, but consider the good things you are leaving, and find something to replace them with before just seperating to be seperating.

In WVBC we are unique, at least I think we are, in that a church can be associated with WVBC and not ABCUSA. So a few churches are opting for this.

 

God will provide a way for you to continue the good work of the ministry with or without the ABCUSA if it is God's will. Have faith in him and lean on him. Where God calls, he will provide.

I absolutely agree. I am only ABCUSA because that is where He wants me right now. 5 years from now who knows? But it will be interesting to see how God leads in this. Whatever He does it will be far better than it is now.

One possible scenario that could play out is the ABC USA going back to a societal model in which each church would support whatever ministry or society it chooses. In this way IM could lose nothing.

No matter what happens it will be interesting to watch.
