From 18 months ago....before many of us knew what he was really like. Got anything more recent?

You mean that you were complaining about him before you really knew what he was like? The polls are essentially the same with a plurality of the UK still in favor of the visit. Afterall, Trump's mother was born in Scotland and he owns property in the UK. You should trade us Tommy Robinson for 10,000 of our #NeverTrump types and then you would see that we can do a good deal.

Sounds like a good deal to us - 'Poor Tommy' can join his tiki-torch-wielding brethren in places like Charlottesville where he belongs.

I note you've failed to post a more recent poll...

You know, I don't think Theresa May ever really had her heart in Brexit, and it shows. She will have internal fallout by the end of the summer.

Speaking of that stupid balloon, look how money they raised as opposed to spend on the thing - somebody made a big profit. The thing was shorter than James Comey and it floated for two hours and Trump didn't even see it, few did.

Well, I think public opinion polls about foreign leaders are pretty worthless . . . actually, I think most public opinion polls are worthless, but if you want to see a tracking poll, here ya go:

https://yougov.co.uk/news/2018/07/12/plurality-britons-support-trump-visiting-they-dont/

ugh, they changed the wording from state to working, that alone could throw the numbers off, but I don't see why you WOULDN'T want Trump there, better to keep a strong ally a friend rather than a foe.

You know the truth without a link. The visit was a big setback for you and your politics. Are you antifa? They like to set vehicles on fire, smash windows, beat up on innocent people and stab law enforcement in the back while covering their faces.

I am anti-fascist, surely all Christians are, but I don't do any of the things you mention. Not a setback to my politics at all: many protested here

Trump to play golf at Turnberry as protests continue - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-44829539

But I agree with you about May: she was a Remainer tasked with delivering Brexit

Ah, but you are a Remainer tasked with delivering Remain, no? The little tiny balloon that the rich guy bought of baby Trump was considered adorable over here.

Sad that the left in the UK is still absorbed by the pictures of Obama's putting children in dog kennels. Trump is an outsider and it takes some time to find out what the lousy federal government is doing all over the country, but he did stop the Obama practice, for which the UK lefties will never give him credit. The UK is special and Trump and May have a temporary truce so the globalists in the UK are swimming upstream since they have not been able to cause chaos with dead issues and old charges and they don't have enough money to finance their welfare state notions, not to mention that they are out of power and aligned with the fascists Islamists while saying all the time that they are against fascism. They would have had more nobility if they had marched in London loudly proclaiming that they believed in the EU and the Euro forever and that nothing could be better than the Euro Soviet. As it is, no one really knows why the UK left is against Trump and no one knows what the UK left really wants. The marchers in London interviewed by TV seemed to be saying that they were for same-sex sex and against misogyny except in the case of Islam and were against racism except that they want Israel destroyed because of UK Islamists.
