I repeated: There are no Bush Haters on this Forum. I thought I was doing penance to get forgiveness from two unamed moderators! :D [IMG] :rolleyes: :mad:

Do you mean I don't have to say that any more? Have you cleared that with the other unamed moderator? Be careful though since she is a prophet[ess] :confused: [IMG] [IMG]

That is the most asinine statement that has been posted on this Forum.

1. Bush signing the Kyoto Protocall would have accomplished nothing since the Senate had already rejected it.
2. If global warming is a fact it started no later than the industrial revolution!
3. Do you really think this country is the only one in the world generating so-called green house gases. Think man, if global warming started 25 years ago under Reagan how could Bush have reversed it in 5 years?

I may have misunderstood your intent in the above post. If so, I apologize.

</font>
No apology necessary. I know that I went over the edge to drag up Robert Kennedy, Cindy Sheehan and the German minister of environment. Mrs. Sheehan said that Bush caused the hurricane by his environmental problems. Kennedy said that Bush caused the hurricane by not doing enough about global warming. The German minister also blamed the environmental policy.

The sad part is OldRegular that millions of people are going to believe these three and the others who will join them. They are going to contribute to civil unrest with this nonsense.

He doesn't have to "clear" it with the other unnamed moderator - he is the senior moderator on this forum. Moderators on the BB try to work together as a TEAM with a LEADER - A point that seems to be missed by the Feds conducting these ongoing "relief" efforts in NOLA. [IMG]

</font>
I have tried to understand your constant criticism of this moderating team. None of your posts have been edited, just so happens that we both disagree with you. Your comment about my co-moderator claim prophet-ess status is unjust, uncalled for, and unnecessary.

Since you disagree with our moderating ability, and using your logic, it is obvious that you well and truly hate us. Everyone knows you cannot disagree with someones's actions and opinions without hating them. Is your hatred for us the reason you are seeking forgiveness?

Well, when Peroutka gets elected, everything will be a-okay, won't it? That's what we need now--another lawyer to tell us where the legal fault lies and file a lawsuit and stop global warming.

No one can fix all the problems, they are legion.

It would be nice to have anyone who would not exacerbate the problems.

The original decision to build under sea level was shear brilliance. Our local communist planning commission would not have allowed it here.

Blame.There is plenty of blame to be shared by all of the leadership mayor for not evacuating the city,he had 1400 school buses sitting empty doing nothing. City police for abandoning thier jobs. Governor for not calling up the national gaurd and for not giving some direction to the need for help.Both the mayor and Gov. panicked and froze.Bush for not recognizing these to had went inside out and federalizing the problem and then taking action sooner. Not that some action was'nt being taken already.The Coast Gaurd was there doing rescue operations and there were more than 50 medical teams.Fema was way behind the curve on this one as well as Homeland defense.

Perhaps Bush is indirectly at fault for the pitiful response to this natural disaster because he is the one picking the people to head certain departments, such as FEMA. Just because you have a law degree, does that give you enough experience in disaster planning, search and rescue, and logistics to handle a situation of this magnitude?
-------------------------------
From FEMA's web site on director Michael Brown:

Prior to joining FEMA, Mr. Brown practiced law in Colorado and Oklahoma, where he served as a bar examiner on ethics and professional responsibility for the Oklahoma Supreme Court and as a hearing examiner for the Colorado Supreme Court. He had been appointed as a special prosecutor in police disciplinary matters. While attending law school he was appointed by the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee of the Oklahoma Legislature as the Finance Committee Staff Director, where he oversaw state fiscal issues. His background in state and local government also includes serving as an assistant city manager with emergency services oversight and as a city councilman.

Mr. Brown was also an adjunct professor of law for the Oklahoma City University.

A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Brown holds a bachelor's degree in Public Administration/Political Science from Central State University, Oklahoma. He received his J.D. from Oklahoma City University’s School of Law.
---------------------------------
I'm of the opinion that there are many retired military officers with backgrounds in logistics and basicly a "get it done" attitude who would be much more qualified to direct this orginization.
