Liberal media crying "wolf!" one more time trying to help their buddies. A contrived "story".

Ive read this story over and over, and can't find anything in the story that supports the claim that the Q & A was staged.

Bro. Curtis,
Without a doubt this was a publicity campaign to make Bush look good. No one can make Bush look good these soldiers were used for this sole purpose and it is sad that a sitting President would use the military for such poorly staged publicity stunt.

Wasn't it the media that staged the Rumsfeld Q&A? Sounds like the pot is calling the kettle black.

Again no where in the story is there anything that supports the claim that the Q & A was staged.

The President can talk personally to anyone he wants to anytime at all, unconstrained and without media present.
Bush is a leftist

Maybe bored, sit-at-home with nothing to do, unemployed, leftist, America hating, trust fund hippie Bush bashers see it as a PR stunt, but I'm pretty sure the soldiers that got to talk with him are pretty stoked. They see it as a commander addressing his troops.

Wow BJ, even from you that one came out of the dark. Granted,Bush sure isnt a conservative. Not real sure he is even a true Republican. But a leftist? No. Maybe a centrist, which I think is just as bad or worse.

The interviews done with the soldiers that participated tend to back up his statement.

Carpro ,
What statement are you talking about? Do you mean the statement about bored, sit at home with nothing to do, unemployed, leftist, America hating, trust fund hippie Bush basher see it as a PR stunt,.
Do you mean that statement?
Kinda over the top and off topic.
Surely Bro Curtis can find another site to do his trolling.

It never ceases to amaze me to what extent people will agendize insead of discuss.

I reiterate what I said earlier: No where in the story is there anything that supports the claim that the Q & A was staged. No where in any statement given by any soldier is there anything that supports the claim that the Q & A was staged.

Indeed, and it amazes me how some on this board are convinced that our President can do no wrong.

Notice that I didn't name anyone, and did not direct this at anyone (that includes you, JohnV),

Astutely put, as you know I'm not one who thinks POTUS can do no wrong.

I don't know that anyone on this board is described by that. I know I find lots of things wrong with various policies of President Bush. I don't even consider myself a Republican as now when I fill out polls from Zogby I list myself as an independent.

If you have either been in the military or worked in television production a rehearsal - even a tight one - should come as no surprise. I have worked in both. Soldiers train hard. Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Being properly prepared to meet with the Commander in Chief would be an expected training objective.

For those of you that like nice, neat 17-second unblemished clips of your favorite politician, have you ever sat through the hours of video in an edit room that it takes to get that clip? A good crew will take the time to set lights, audio levels and rehearse the shots. It's just how the job is done.

Creating news where there is none is poor journalism. If anything, it demonstrates the network's lack of preparation to do their job properly.
