France has always been a very secular culture yet as it is stated here there are large numbers of Moselms there.
There are around 5 million Muslims in France today, and i'd say that probably 80% of the rest of the population, that would be about 40 million +, are Catholics (38-39 millions) or protestants (1 to 2 millions). France has a secular constitution (which does not mention God, but freedom of religion), it is not a secular country as you seem to mean it is.

caney,

My great grand pappy used to tell me that he would rather have a thief in his house than a liar because you can watch a thief.

As I became aware of the internet and how to surf on it I come to realize that it's possible to watch both the liar and the thief. I'm also begining to realize that no matter how many mountains of evidence one puts in front of the sheeple they will not admit that they have in fact been duped by criminals, both liars and thieves.

Bush is not evil. He's just morally weak. So he does things that he knows are wrong, because they are expedient.

That's veniality, not evil.

Yes, your opinion convinces me you are right. Your opinion has changed my mind completely. Thanks so much for sharing your opinion.

Oh, by the way, where in the Bible does it say it's OK to curse the name of a fellow believer?

I believe that the Lord will put into power who the people want. Just like when the Israelites asked God for a king. He didn't want to give them a king but they wanted one.
This election showed who the people really wanted. If you remember we had 8 years of Bill Clinton because that's what the people wanted.
During that 8 years we lost a lot of our moral values in this country.

I wonder if Bush's election was a sign of God's will or a sign that he has turned his back on the USA?

The election is over now, let's all pray that God's will is done and that all our elected leaders make the best decision for us.

Yeah, because if Kerry were elected, it'd be a sure sign of God's approval, right?

There is no doubt that God's Will is done.

Now the result of His Will may not be what you want, but when it is His Will it will be what He wants!

NOW, the Christian thing to do would be:

Stop being so bitter and hateful,
Pray for OUR leader : President George W. Bush

Family together in Christ

tragic_pizza...I was not implying anything about God's will if Kerry had been elected. I was just posing a thought-provoking question. So in the interest of equal time:

If Kerry had won, would that have been God's will or God turning his back on the USA?

If Kerry had been elected then it would have been God's Will.

But he wasn't. And there is a reason for that:

It wasn't His Will!

George W. Bush has Genuine Christian Faith. Whereas his primary opponant, John Kerry, used religion as a photo opp.

Bush is a very Godly man. But he also has a responsibility to be president of our country. Part of that is protecting our country to trying to promote good relations between the US and other nations - even if those nations happen to be Muslim or Islamic.

Ever made a mistake, C4K? Ever had a belief, then come to realize later, as you grew in Christ, that the belief wasn't a correct one?

Or have you always been perfect?
