Dragoon, you are correct about the global conspiracy which has been going on for a very long time. But in a way, it's sad, but also exciting. We are living in the end times. The sad part is our illusions and delusions and dreams about our nation are becoming toast. The exciting good part is that Jesus is Coming Soon and all these are signs that point to His Soon Appearing.

I remember seeing some map like that but wouldn't know where to find it now LE. I'll let you know if I run across it.

I agree with what you said here LE. It's right on. We are in the last days and the differences of opinion over the "ILLEGAL" immigrants should stand out as a prime example, of right being wrong and wrong being right. This issue should be a non-issue because it's so clear. The democrats are succeeding in driving doubt deep within the conservatve right wingers, knowing some will abandon the GOP. As the Democrats move further to the left into Socialism, there are some in their party who are leaving, and they are finding a home in the new liberal GOP that has also moved to the left. As both parties move to the left, it's the conservatives on the right that no longer have a home with the two major parties. You can see that there are many Democrats like Zell Miller who have a home in the new left-leaning GOP.

Just look at the conservatives of 20 and 30 years ago, compared to the "conservatives" of today. If GWB is a conservative, then so was JFK.

Actually I'll tell you how we'll get to the point that our population lives on the edge of poverty.

First, we outsource all of the high-paying jobs to third-world countries due to corporate greed.

Second, we allow all of the people who want to work in this country under minimum wage to come up from Mexico and beyond, and take jobs from Americans. By the way, these will also be employed instead of Americans due to the love of money, also known as greed.

This is a prime reason why we have quota's on legal immigration and set a minimum wage for workers.

In any case, it is all in operation now and we'll be reaping the results in a few years.

I don't think you know how correct that statement is. The whole thrust of the Dems is to divide the GOP, and the immigration problem IS just the issue to do that.

There are two issues. One is securing America's borders. The second is what to do about the 12 million illegal people already here. It does no good to send people back until you secure the borders. They just come back.

Rather than round up the 12 million one by one, why not go after the businesses that hire the illegals. Every agribusiness entity in the country knows they're hiring the illegals. They do it for profit, the poor illegal does it to feed his children. I say go after the ones profiting from the illegal market. The orange grower who says he can't survive without them really means he only wants to pay $7 an hour rather than the $14 an American would demand to do the work. Fine them $1000 a day for each illegal they are employing and see how quickly the wage for picking oranges (and the price in the grocery store) goes up. That's the cost of having secure borders.

As far as the poor immigrant goes, when I put myself in his shoes and I have hungry babies to feed and I look across that border and see all those jobs, I'd do what he is doing. So if I'd do what the poor illegal immigrant is doing to provide for my family, how can I blame him? He is not to blame. The businesses who want his cheap labor are the ones to go after, I believe.

This is simply a political issue. Absolutely nothing substantial is going to be done. New laws are going to be put in effect, based soley on what the legislature thinks will appease the public. No new laws will be enforced, just like all old laws, more than a couple weeks, and this issue will disappear for another 10 years. It's main result may be to split the Republican base, changing the makeup of Congress, resulting in articles of impeachment, just for fun, against a sitting President in times of war. The result of that will be weakening him enough to allow the demands by this new Congress to cut and run in Iraq.

It works like this in times past.
The INS comes in to Joe Smith's strawberry harvest rounds up all the illegal aliens, fines Joe.

Joe calls his Congressmen, Governor, and the local dog catcher. The head of the INS gets early retirement, the laws are summarily buried and no further enforcement is pursued. Business returns to normal.

Here's my immigration reform platform:

Aggressively stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country by all legal means required.

Aggressively pursue and deport all illegal immigrants presently in this country by all legal means required.

Expand the Border Patrol and provide equipment, facilities, and training as necessary to make it effective.

Construct permanent or temporary barries and zones along the borders as necessary and effective.

Temporarily employ federalized National Guard along defined border zones to assist the Border Patrol in enforcement until such time as the Border Patrol can be made effective.

Require all federal, state, county, and city law enforcement agents to aggressively enforce all federal immigration laws.

Make illegal entry, knowingly assisting illegal entry, knowingly harboring illegal immigrants to avoid detection and deportation, or knowingly employing illegal immigrants a felony punishable by stiff fines or imprisonment.

Deny all federal, state, county, and city government public services to illegal immigrants except basic emergency needs during the duration of their custody.

Prohibit any state, county, city, or other local government from making any law supporting illegal immigration.

Revisit the constitutionality of automatic citizenship for children born of illegal immigrants and, if so ruled to be constitutional in its original intent, then make a constitutional amendment denying such automatic citizenship.

Make American English the sole official language for all public communications by all federal, state, county, and city government agencies.

Deny foreign aid to any nation that takes overt or covert action to assist illegal immigration of its citizens in our nation.
