A leader of the movement for California to secede from the U.S. claimed on Tuesday that the middle class leaving California is a “good thing” because it makes room for a “new wave of immigrants.”

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson asked “Calexit” leader Shankar Singam how California could stand as its own nation given their current mismanagement has caused the middle class to move to other states.

Singam, who believes the Golden State is “not the U.S.,” argued that it is a “good thing” that the middle class is leaving California because it makes room for new immigrants.

Liberals everywhere hate the middle class. Obama and the Democrats spent eight years trying to destroy all of the middle class. And I think that the guy is right that Californians will bring their die-hard Democrat politics with them to the other 49 states because they probably do not blame the Democrat for the mess in California.

Putting all that aside, however, where do I sign the petition in favor of Calexit?

As if this "new wave" of immigrants will replace the income (tax revenue) of the departing middle class.

The upper class of California does not need the money of the middle class if they can get even more cheap labor. There isn't much middle class in Latin America and the rich still seem to get along just fine--they put their money in Miami banks so maybe super-rich in California will put their money in Miami banks when California becomes a country. There are just too many racist whites in the middle class. What do you think?

As a California, there is not much that would make me want to leave the MOST alt left, radical liberal state in the union ... but if this Calexit were to succeed, I'd move eastward in a heartbeat, mostly because I have a suspicion this would soon become Northern Mexico.

It is no secret that illegals moving north, illegally, would love to have California become property of Mexico again. They consider California as well as Colorado and Texas, stolen lands.

Just two links about retaking stolen territory/lands.

I'm sure that's what the Calexit guy thinks. Though, I'm white, middle class, and a San Franciscan. Since God has placed me here, I ain't moving.

That's okay but your job can be done by an immigrant at a lot less money because Hispanics work cheap and vote Democrat and fill up the abandoned Catholic parishes.

What part of "I'm where God has placed me" don't you understand? I have no ties to any other geographic locale. I don't look with nostalgia to some place "back home" like Kansas, Tennessee, or even Wyoming.
I'm on a "mission field" surrounded by evangelistic pagans.

It's not a matter of "going down with a sinking ship." It is a matter of serving in the place of My Lord and Savior's choosing. I just don't have to put up with jungle rot, tropical disease, or Paris (the one with the Eiffel Tower) traffic. Though, I do have to deal with hostile locals. As a Marine general once said,
Men, we are surrounded by the enemy. That makes them easy to locate. Charge!!!
or something like that.

Going down with the ship is always admirable.

Okay, Mexico stole those lands from the Spanish so everything should go back to Spain and in the case of Puerto Rico, maybe they should be given back to Spain right away (just joking). For example, if Mexico overthrew Spain and France, which they did, then they cannot claim Texas, which, as you know, overthrew Mexico, etc. I suppose the Americas really belong to Siberia and Mongolia because that is where the so-called Native Americans came from according to DNA studies.

Do modern-day Americans have to accept the idea that it is unconstitutional for California or any other state to secede?

Probably not. But just try to get a majority vote or referendum to secede and I doubt if you would get 10 percent even from the State of CA.

Including those who are Hispanic (yes I know I'm racist).
Why kill the goose who lays the golden egg?
