Cals: A Majority to be Saved?

Ok, seems to me that what God is making the point that Abraham's offspring would be more than he had the ability to number. Which is what Abraham believed and it was the correct belief especially since it was rewarded by God. Why should we believe any different than Abraham here?

Thank you for your reply. I take it that you don't believe that a majority is elected and that regardless you do not have a preference other than what God has chosen. If I am correctly understanding you then yours seems to be the more consistent opinion in relation to your belief of Calvinism.

I'm wondering if it is the case that a motivation for some Calvinists to believe that a majority of souls will be saved has to do with their view of the character of God. I don't see why either a majority or a minority would make a difference, except that if it IS a majority that has been elected then it might seem that God is more gracious than He would have been had he only elected a minority.

This is only what I can seem to reason and, knowing that I could well be incorrect, I'd like to get some feedback from those Calvinists that hold to the idea that God has selected a majority. What are the scriptural and philosophical reasons for believing such?

Your take is incorrect, though I can see why you try to garner such.

I do not know if there will be a majority elected, or minority. I think in light of our current world, that there is a minority within it that are true believers.

I don't really know if I am a calvinist per se. I really haven't studied out TULIP so much, but I am DoG in beliefs for certain.

Would say that the Book of Revelation shows to us an "innumerable" assembly of believers, from every kindred, tribe, and tongue!

Think that we will be surprised that :

just how NONE of us are worthy before God to even been saved
Just how many actually werre redeemed and saved!

Aren't the TULIPS points like 'cliff note" edition of the DoG though?
