1 Peter 1:11 11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories.

They weren't seeking salvation... they were INQUIRING what person or time etc...

I know you want to make God a liar but it won't work... NO MAN SEEKS AFTER GOD... Just looking up verses with seek, choose and the like in your Strong's won't cut it... Try believeing the text! One of my first questions to an elder of a local Church was; Ok, I am a believer now but what about next week? Even then I knew myself! The elder took me to several bible passages and I was gone! Gone on it! I've been that way ever since praise Him!

I'm not sure if that is a boast or not.

He told me this truth. My love, He said to me, is not dependant on you, it originates in Me. My joy at hearing that was heartbreaking. Praise Him.

When I was trying to advoid Him He moved Heaven and Hell to catch a small fry. Praise Him.
But not a small fry, a lover, a partner, a friend and a son. A Royal Priest. A chosen one. Adopted and loved with an everlasting love. Blameless regardless.
He took me and had His way with me and I shall never be able to thank Him enough, ever, but I shall attempt to try. To be falling in love forever sounds like a good idea to me.

What we got is Peaches and Cream and always Christmas and every other nice thing.

Can you give any reason why "man just recieves it?"
It took me along time to conclude that we naturally receive the Holy Spirit because we are made in the image of the God. Our sinful nature prevents us from seeking God until He intervenes and changes our heart.

What about the lost, are destined to their fate?
Like 1 Pet. 2:8 - "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. They stumble because they disobey the message - which is also what they were destined for."

Excuse me if you think I'm butting in but we are not made in the image of God. We are made in the image of Adam, "...When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God." Gen 5:1.
After the fall things changed; "GE 5:3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth."

That is right. Simple. Romans 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

We must not assume we are better than God. The lost are His problem, let Him worry about them. We are called to love the Lord God with our whole being.
Those that were not chosen before the cteation of the world are destined for the worse of the worse.
There I put my trust in God. He knows what He is doing.

They are destined for death as we are destined to life. No choice. Thank God!

When I was young, my mother used to CALL me in from play to join the rest of the family at dinner. It was actually up to me as to whether I came in response to the CALL! Of Course it did not take many missed dinners' for me to get the message that I needed to answer the call to dinner.

God CALLS us to repentance, God Calls us to be reborn, God Calls us to join him at the supper table, NON OF WHICH equates to Forcing us to come! BUT! If we miss the call completely, and do not respond in FAITH to God's CALL, we WILL get cast into the lake of fire!
