Can a Christian practice Magic?

Something is extremely fishy with all your posts.

First, they are always very me centered. You have a deep desire to make sure everyone here knows all that you do. You have probably typed "I" and "me" more than any other word.

Second, are you married or not? In recent posts you have talked about your wife and now you refer to her as your fiance. Which is it?

Good observation.

I'm trying to understand. In previous posts you have stated that you disagree with ultra-separatism like that practiced at Bob Jones University, you disagree with teatotalism, you don't see a problem with watching movies, and have no problem (I think) with contemporary Christian music. So why is it that a guy entertaining people with illusions and sleight of hand tricks gets your undies in a wad?

Something missing from the story: Was the guy doing magic tricks and presenting the gospel? Or was he doing magic tricks, and Evangelist attacked the magic tricks as being evil, and the guy announced that he was a Christian?

I agree that the other guy was way out of line for attacking Evangelist. He should have just ignored him.

I also agree that Evangelist was way out of line for attacking the guy in the first place. By his own admission, his actions lost people who were originally listening to him; and lost more people who might have listened to him.

He was doing magic and then said he was a christian after I confronted him. But he was out of line for continuing to attack me after I apologized for the misunderstanding. But yes we all make errors. I have heard WOTM Podcasts and Ray Comfort messing up as well. They do not play those mess-ups on their WOTM season DVD's, but they are on the podcasts.

Your fiance gave you good counsel. You were out of line in confronting him; mostly because he was not engaged in real magic or sorcery. Trust me, it's hard for us to admit when we're wrong. In this case you were. Was he right for heckling you? No. Two wrongs do not make a right. But you did bring it upon yourself. I'm not telling you this to be mean.

Yes I was copying what I heard Ray Comfort do on a podcast of which they did not play that on their WOTM season DVD's or their website. I should copy Jesus!

No man is perfect but I have heard Podcast of Comfort just antagonizing people and being cussed out to death.

Apparently I made a mistake. Have you ever made one? I apologized but he continued to heckle me. I should have just ignored him and preached. I have made these kinds of mistakes before but always learn and do not repeat them for a while. The last one I made like this was in 2011 sometime of which I wasted an hour debating with a group of JW's that was a waste of time.

I see nothing wrong with street magic. I have a few props myself.

One of my favorites that I have is the color changing handkerchief. It appears to change from red and yellow to yellow and blue.

I also have the color changing bag. Gold on the outside, white on the inside. When you turn it inside out, it is white on the outside, red on the inside. Turn it inside out again, it is red on the outside, green on the inside. Changes a couple more times before changing back to it's original Gold/White state.

People love both.

As I said in an earlier post, sorcerers in Revelation is not speaking of magic or magicians... it is speaking of pharmacists. The Greek word used is pharmakos.
