Jesus Was Immortal, and had Need to Be in so that he could be resurrected.
Jesus was eternally God, and was raised back up in order to have the father now freely justify all who place their trust and Faith in Jesus as their Lord and God!

Like many Baptists, I like to talk even if no one listens.

Well now that you mention that and I know there are not only member here but many lookie loos who come over here but never join, let me relate my first encounter with the Mormons.

When I was a young man, I was watching my Dad work on the family car in the driveway... We both had our heads under the hood he working and me observing... Among the tinkering we hear someone say: Excuse me sir... We both came up from under the hood and standing there are two young Mormon men, dressed in black shoes, black pants, white shirt and black tie... Didn't see any bikes, they kinda snuck up on us.

We could see that one was the spokesman for the two and so he go off on his speal... Addressing my Dad he says. Sir if you were to die today, do you know where you are going?... Well my Dad was an avid church goer, deacon, song leader and church clerk and he knew his Bible and intimately the one that wrote it... Dad being raised a Sovereign Grace Baptist said well young man if the Lord is in the matter, but I know I don't deserve it, I believe I'll be with him when I die.

So my Dad said you know fair is fair, now you asked me a question and I answered it, now let me ask you one... So Dad fired away, to this day I don't remember the question but I do remember the reaction... Both looked at each other and were speechless, not knowing what to say... Finally after the so called spokesman composed himself, he said Sir we are going to leave and bring back an Elder who will answer your question... Well then you fellas run along and bring back your Elder and may be he can answer my question.

I thought nothing of it until one evening we were sitting at the dinner table and it popped in head and I asked my Dad remember those two Mormons we had a run in a way back?... What do you think ever happened to them they never returned with their Elder?... Dad said well son I guess he couldn't answer my question... So this is to all you lookie loos that come here, as my Dad says, who has long gone to be with his Lord, fair is fair you have questions we have some of our own... Did I just start a Mormon invasion?... OH WELL!... Brother Glen:)

Ask a Mormon for the textual evidence to prove the originality of Smith's additions to Genesis in his "inspired translation" wherein Moses names the latter day prophet, Joseph! hee, hee.

I don't know if that was the question or not, but it's a good one... All I know is those two Mormons couldn't get out of there fast enough... They were squirming in their skin... Bring a Bible next time and leave the Book Of Mormon at home... Brother Glen:)

Please note Steven Hall has been banned for heresy Saying the Father had a mother and a father.

Are you sure he was saying that? Are you familiar with the expression he used? GT*O? bit of a naughty acronym :Whistling

I could see you nailing him for that.

It didn't give me the impression he thinks God has a mother and father with the context of who he is responding to, at all.

You could probably nail Mormons into stating God has a wife that they don't worship, If your looking for "dirt".

And it could depend on what the current Mormon prophets stance is, cause the doctrine can change.

Yes a Mormon can get saved by embracing the biblical and historical Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But they would have to leave the Mormon Cult and unite with a church that worships the biblical and historical Jesus as God(Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Mainline Protestant, Evangelical Protestant).

A Mormon can be saved “in spite” of what the Mormon church officially teaches about the plan of salvation (if they receive Jesus Christ through faith - Ephesians 2:8,9) and “not because” of what it teaches.
