"Poor" in the sense not growing and showing daily more the image of Chrsit in our lives?

Its not automatic that great theology=great Christian?

If you look at it that theology = mind and growing in the Lord = heart. In other words, we can have all the Bible knowledge in the world, but never grow in Christ. Of course I would say that would be a MAJOR problem and would want to see if they were saved in the first place. To be able to have your Bible open and study day after day and not grow in Christ, is a problem.

Having Bible knowledge does not make one a Christian. The devil quoted scripture at Jesus while trying to tempt Him.

Yes. It is.

Or have poor theology and seem to be a "good" one, such as JW's are typically well thought of in externals and "niceness."

-or-

It's also possible to have poor theology and be a poor Christian (in behavior.) Or bad theology = bad Christian. :wavey:

Knowing from kover to kover but not knowing the application can happen.

I used to tell the church people of the church I pastored to practice this:
LLA
Litsen, Learn, Apply
Listen to the Holy Spirit
Learn God's Word
Apply What you have heard and learned.

Yes. And quoting Scripture doesn't necessitate good theology.

I put this on another thread:

“The devil is a better theologian than any of us and is a devil still.” A. W. Tozer
