Can You Imagine the Outcry if Hillary Had....?

Suppose that Hillary had won in November and was doing some of the same things Trump is doing. Can you imagine the outrcy if....

Hillary appoints unqualified billionaires to several cabinet posts. Some of them are contributors to the Clinton Foundation and/or her campaign.

She brags about having the largest inauguration crowd in history when photos clearly show it's not.

Her choice for National Security Advisor is fired because he is being investigated by the FBI for having ties to Russia and because he lied to the Vice President about these ties.

She gives Chelsea a White House office, influence over policy, and allows her to promote her business interests.

She gives Chelsea's husband a White House advisor role. Chelsea and her husband's business trips are paid for by taxpayers.

Hillary refuses to release her tax returns.

She blocks access to the visitor logs of the White House.

Bill Clinton does not want to live in the White House, instead he lives in their home in Chappaqua, NY and his Secret Service protection is paid for by taxpayers.

On weekends Hillary goes to her own privately owned resort where she (mostly) lounges around glad-handing campaign contributors and guests while she plays golf. She charges the government for any government business conducted at her resort. She conducts policy meetings in public.

She insults the prime minister of Australia, congratulates a despot on winning a rigged election in Turkey (she has business interests there), and invites the president of Philippines, basically a murderer, to come to the White House (she has business interests there).

After she bombs Syria she mistakenly names another country in an interview as the one she bombed while gushing about the chocolate cake she was enjoying when she ordered the bombing.

She flip-flops on signature campaign issues, complains the job is harder than she thought, and shows a penchant for learning on the job.

The first quarter economic performance numbers come out and they are the worst they've been in four years.

I'm pretty sure most Republican's heads would explode with the yelling they'd be doing condemning her. (Not to mention the forwarded emails.)

Saw this on Twitter.

Expect the typical Better Trump Than Clinton rationalizations to begin.

Yeah, me too. I used part of it and added quite a bit myself.

Expect the typical Better Trump Than Clinton rationalizations to begin.

Yes, and for the most part, they'd be right, when it comes to policy. But Trump's statements, actions and ethics leave a lot to be desired. I'm not sure that Hillary's would be worse, which is an astonishing thing to say.

As much as I think the man is a buffoon, most of this is just sour grapes.
Hillary appoints unqualified
Who says they are unqualified? You? Have you accomplished more in your life and career than they have?

Some of them are contributors to the Clinton Foundation and/or her campaign.
Patronage has always been the means of rewarding supporters. You should know that.

She brags about having the largest inauguration crowd in history when photos clearly show it's not.
This bit of fake news has been completely debunked. The picture of Trump's venue was taken at 6AM and the picture of Obama's was taken as he was giving his speech.

Her choice for National Security Advisor is fired because he is being investigated by the FBI for having ties to Russia and because he lied to the Vice President about these ties.
Ooops. But there have been many similar incidents.

Thomas Gilmer was Secretary of the Navy for 9 whole days during the Tyler administration.

Secretary Washburne was Secretary of State for 11 days
during the Ulysses S. Grant administration.

Robert Bacon was Secretary of State for 37 days during the Theodore Roosevelt administration.

Then there was Lawrence Eagleburger who was Secretary of State for 42 days under the first Bush administration.

And so on and so on and so on.

She gives Chelsea a White House office, influence over policy, and allows her to promote her business interests.
And you can prove this accusation?

She gives Chelsea's husband a White House advisor role. Chelsea and her husband's business trips are paid for by taxpayers.
What private business was conducted at government expense?

Hillary refuses to release her tax returns.
LOL! ROFLOL! You have got to be kidding. First, there is no requirement to release tax returns. The one the radical left stole and made public proved how stupid the argument is. The Madcow released showed Trump paid over $150 million in federal taxes that year!
She blocks access to the visitor logs of the White House.
Yes, some visitors are there on classified assignment. I blocked access to visitors logs when I was in charge of a classified facility. SOP.

Bill Clinton does not want to live in the White House, instead he lives in their home in Chappaqua, NY and his Secret Service protection is paid for by taxpayers.
So, The Trumps are guilty of being good parents and allowing Barron to complete the school year before moving him to DC? Is Obama also being dishonest and shifty by staying in DC until Sasha can finish high school?

On weekends Hillary goes to her own privately owned resort where she (mostly) lounges around glad-handing campaign contributors and guests while she plays golf. She charges the government for any government business conducted at her resort. She conducts policy meetings in public.
Really? How much did Trump charge the government for government business conducted in Florida? And how much does he charge the government to house and feed the extra USSS personnel needed? (Hint: the correct answer is somewhere between zero and zilch.)

She insults the prime minister of Australia, congratulates a despot on winning a rigged election in Turkey (she has business interests there), and invites the president of Philippines, basically a murderer, to come to the White House (she has business interests there).
So you have joined the Communists who want Turkey's government to be so divided it will collapse? Wow!

After she bombs Syria she mistakenly names another country in an interview as the one she bombed while gushing about the chocolate cake she was enjoying when she ordered the bombing.
Yes, of course. And the murder of our ambassador was the result of a Youtube video. <roll eyes>

She flip-flops on signature campaign issues, complains the job is harder than she thought, and shows a penchant for learning on the job.
What President hasn't had to learn on the job?

Yeah. He inherited a terrible economy from Obama. What else is new. (Now, if you object to that, remember Obama blamed Bush for over 5 years!)

I'm pretty sure most Republican's heads would explode with the yelling they'd be doing condemning her. (Not to mention the forwarded emails.)
No, most people, Republican and Democrat, are not neurotically obsessed with the President. It is not healthy. Please. Seek some professional counsel.

All of the unfilled undercabinet positions say so. Some of the actual appointees have said so. Betsy DeVos, for example.

Patronage has always been the means of rewarding supporters. You should know that.

Sure, but remember the premise is that Republicans would be screaming about it.

This bit of fake news has been completely debunked. The picture of Trump's venue was taken at 6AM and the picture of Obama's was taken as he was giving his speech.

Nope. NPR ran side-by-side video with a clock in the corner of the screen so one could directly compare the crowds to the time of day. [I see that Baptist Believer has posted it.]

Ivanka Trump is a counselor to President Trump, she does have a White House office, she is promoting her business from the White House.

Secret Service Racks Up Bills for Trump Kids' Trips. Next Stop Aspen?

Yes, some visitors are there on classified assignment. I blocked access to visitors logs when I was in charge of a classified facility. SOP.

The premise is that Republicans would be screaming about Hillary reversing Obama's policy of releasing the White House visitor logs.

So, The Trumps are guilty of being good parents and allowing Barron to complete the school year before moving him to DC? Is Obama also being dishonest and shifty by staying in DC until Sasha can finish high school?

Remember the premise. You just know that Republicans would be yelling about taxpayers paying for three residences for the Clinton's.

So you have joined the Communists who want Turkey's government to be so divided it will collapse? Wow!

No, I'm saying that Republicans would be irate if Hillary had congratulated a despot who rigged an election.

What President hasn't had to learn on the job?

George H.W. Bush for one. Richard Nixon, probably. Bush Sr. had been a US Congressman, ambassador to the UN, the CIA director, the GOP party chairman, and a vice president. Nixon had been a US congressman, a senator and a vice president.

I could argue just about any governor that had become President has more experience than Trump at governing at an executive level. Besides, Trump ran as the outsider. He's even admitted the job was harder than he thought and he has said that he's learning on the job.

Yeah. He inherited a terrible economy from Obama. What else is new. (Now, if you object to that, remember Obama blamed Bush for over 5 years!)

Trump inherited a terrible economy? Really? It's not going great guns, but it's OK to good.

So, if Trump inherited a terrible economy, what about Obama? Did he?

Is this a fair graphic to put up?

You just know that Republicans would be yelling
So you are claiming to be able to see into an alternate reality and "just know" what would happen in a hypothetical situation?

Are you a prophet? Do you have a crystal ball?

True. But considering our numbers, we seem to have more than our share. The funny part is that, with a couple of exceptions, most of them are not liberals nor democrats. They are normally level headed people. But not when it comes to Trump. Confused

Nope, just parroting what a lot of right wing pundits say.

I still like Trump 10000 times better than BHO.

Trump is a good man, at least as good as the folks here on these boards. He's fighting for us, he's fighting for the unborn, he's fighting to enforce our borders. I don't get where all the vitriol is coming from, especially from those in the Church. We should be the most grateful of all.

If Hillary did what Trump has done, I'd be jumping for joy. Not only did she fool everyone and nominate Gorsuch, but she's stopped the flow of illegal immigration by about 70% and is trying to repeal Obamacare, trying to lower taxes to some of the lowest corporate rates in the world.

I'd be elated.

Never Trumpers aren't necessarily rational when it comes to Trump. Praise for Trump is hard for all of them, even when it is richly deserved, and impossible for some.

Just a little reminder when Trump signs the budget, he and the GOP, will own the continued funding of baby killing planned parenthood.
That was the one reason many said they voted for him, let's see your response now.

LOL Not very original. Must have touched a nerve. You usually do better.

You'll have to ask someone else. That wasn't on my list of reasons why I voted for him. When it comes to the budget and the possibility of government shutdowns, Trump is just as cowardly as the rest of DC's GOP. At least, this time.

glad I made you laugh. I wasn't going for original though so it doesn't bother me (or hit a nerve as you put it) in the least that you didn't see it as original. I'm pleasantly surprised at the complement (back handed that it may have been) as I know I'm not very witty in this medium. Writing is not my strong suit but I will thank you for thinking I'm usually better at my witty comments on here.

I will give you credit for calling Trump a coward like the rest of the GOP in DC. I honestly didn't think you had it in you and it's actually nice to be proven wrong about at least one Trump supporter here. Unfortunately here and my Facebook feed prove me right time and time again about Trump and his supporter so you are in a small minority and I will give you credit for that.

You yourself have to admit that baby killing was a huge issue with many Trump Supporters here though and their silence has not gone unnoticed. It may not have been your issue but it was an issue used multiple times to try to guilt us NeverTrumpers into abandoning our convictions and principles.

Trump is doing just fine. Sometimes you have to take baby steps, even a step back to take two forward. Trump says he's going to defund abortions and I believe him. He was in a tough spot, and did what he had to do, but mark my words, he will defund PP. His main obstacle right now is the republican congress—those the never-trumpers are supporting.

As for those who fought Trump and tried to help Hillary, I have nothing to say. Had you gotten your way this country would be looking at a liberal super-majority in our courts for the first time in US history.
