The new religion of Inclusiveness strikes again.

Church and state may be separate, but anti-religion is becoming a state supported non-religion.

Then what... communism?

Various forms of oligarchy - look around the world - the LG movement, Zionism, Pseudo-evangelical Christianity, RCC, KKK, Islam, Black Power ....... but always the multinational corporations hold the real power, taking the money & moving it to tax-havens where it is totally removed from the economy, leaving the working middle classes to pay for the running of our countries by taxation of earnings & pensions.

Christian Socialism [not Stalinist Communism] is not an oxymoron - it is the best we can hope for as true Democracy - government of the people, by the people, for the people, with due respect for minorities. And taxation according to income, rather than all the tax evasion that means a corporation can employ workers at low pay, charge prices that result in high profits, & hide those profits from the tax authorities. It amounts to robbing the poor to make the rich richer.

In the 35 years after WW2 Britain had Socialist policies that provided a National Health Service - free at the point of need; State Pensions; Council housing at affordable rents; manufacturing industries providing apprenticeships & lifetime employment; employment rights; etc. When I was growing up in the 40s & 50s, we all had the prospect of employment, marriage & an independent home for our families.

Then the rich oligarchy took over, exporting industries & jobs to the third world. Now our countries are richer than ever they were in those days, but the people are poorer & without normal prospects.

Choice - Oligarchy, "Christian" Socialism, or Anarchy.

Meanwhile the various oligarchists have their way, imposing unjust laws - as in the OP - for their own benefit, all around the world.

Brother, in the USA there is no true democracy. Rather, it is an organized Republic with a 3 branch system. Christianity scarcely has anything to do in its governing

While I reject the Roman Catholic view of the "three stages of the church", the church militant has always grown through suffering. That does not mean we do not pray for God to deliver us from suffering, but God is always faithful to His church.

Rev 13:16-17 KJV - 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

There is no mark, number or name of the beast associated with the bakers involved in this incident. Or am I missing something?

They were fined 135 k - that comes out to almost 66,600 for each of them

Oregon Court Upholds $135K Fine Against Christian Bakers Who Refused To Make Gay Wedding Cake

The Mark on the hand: Yielding one's members whether or not one assents to antichrist doctrines.

The Mark on the forehead: Yielding one's mind to antichrist doctrines.

Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
I wonder if Paul refused to make a tent for a gay couple in his day?

This is really rather stupid of the "Christian Bakers".

There are so many good and righteous ways to present Christ.

Service people, and those who sell to the public need to understand that there is no right to deny service unless there is a health and safety issue. One reason people have to wear shirts and shoes into a restaurant. If something is spilled or someone walks on a fork in the bare feet, it is a health hazard.

Baking a cake does not raise to that level of standard.

I commend the court, and probably would have recommended an even stiffer fine.

Actually, there are several reasons a store could refuse service - other than health and safety.

Actually, there are several reasons a store could refuse service - other than health and safety.

Yes, if a customer is threatening or belligerent, if a customer is presenting an immediate danger to themselves or others, If a customer doesn't have the wherewithal to complete the transaction, if a customer is in the present (immediate time) wearing or appearing offensive in conduct or apparel, ...

Some service transport industries have size and weight restrictions, and some have offensive odor policies. Some also have limitations upon who can be transported. But again, these are safety issues and not a matter of refusing service based on lifestyle preferences.

BUT, I don't know any law that would allow any store or place of business in which the general public are allowed to refuse service because of some political view, life style choice, race, religion, being bald, toothless, and toothpick skinny.

If one has a private business that caters solely to the members of that business or exclusive club that has a specific membership roster, then any service to the public can be denied.
