I find that your opinion is neither subjective, nor godly. Liberal? Yes.Originally posted by Johnv:
None of my casual attire, my wife's casual attire, or my children's casual attire, whether such attire be in church or out of church, is remotely immodest, thus effectively rebutting your claim.
And I'm sure you've never seen a tight fitting, low cut dress.Originally posted by guitarpreacher:

Oh, and most casual attire is cut to outline the bodily figure, which then brings it into question in regard to modest apparel.![]()
But then you would have a judgemental LOST world seeing a casual approach to worship then wouldn't you?Originally posted by Filmproducer:

For those who equate casual attire with a casual approach to God please keep in mind that only God knows a person's heart, and He alone is the judge of their sincerity. Everything else is unnecessary conjecture on your part. We should be worshipping God no matter where we are or what we are wearing. Besides a person can take just as much time putting on casual wear and getting ready for church, as they do putting on a suit and tie, or dress.
Thank you for playing. Join us next time as we discuss "Do black or brown shoelaces honor God more?"

Look up the verses with these two words as a search: "modest" and "edify".
There you will find your scriptural support, but of course , if you choose to continue to pervert scripture at tyour demand for the modernistic belief system you've "aquired".......![]()
Point of correction, Salamander. One cannot enter "the church," but only the building in which "the church" worships. The people of God are the church.Originally posted by Salamander:
when one enters the church, aren't they entering a place of Sanctity? I mean, isn't the church to be set apart from the world in such a way that any one entering takes an instant notice of things "looking" peculiarly different and opposed to the outside world? Uh-hum!
Who's guidelines are you using to be "set apart"? If it's a coat and tie...it's the WORLDS! Society sets "how" one is to dress in their "best". Following these same guidelines and applying them to the church is not "setting apart" the dress in church, and dress in the "world".but when one enters the church, aren't they entering a place of Sanctity? I mean, isn't the church to be set apart from the world in such a way that any one entering takes an instant notice of things "looking" peculiarly different and opposed to the outside world?
