Catch 22?

Didn’t know which forum to put this in, so moderators feel free to put it somewhere else. When I was young and frustrated one day I was about 26 1/2 years; I shouted several times I would sale my soul to the …, I think you all can figure the last word, for a woman in my life. Will nearly 30 years later no woman. Talk to people at my church the pastor and other members are all saying that God can thru Christ Jesus even forgive this. But when I said these words I knew Jesus as my Redeemer, I have pray earnestly for forgiveness but feel like I’m in a Catch 22.
Not having any blessing from God in this department but if God would grant me a woman (which seems highly unlikely) I feel I would be damn. Being alone really sucks! But if God would bless me with a women would I be damn, or can the blood of Christ even forgive this?:(:(:(

Since all the sin, past, present and future is forgiven when we undergo the "washing of regeneration" you should strive to become more like Christ. Ask not what Christ can do for you, but what you can do for the ministry of Christ. Born anew believers do not face a "Catch 22." Remember the conversation between Peter and Jesus in John 21? Jesus sees us not only as we are, but also as what we will become. Peter was not ready to sacrifice himself for Christ, but Jesus accepted him just as he was.

Praise God from whom all mercies flow...

If God acted upon the things we said in anger and frustration it'd be impossible for mechanics and farmers to be Christians. :)

Fortunately our sins were paid by Christ, so even in our most frustrated and angry times, Christ paid for it.

I heard from an old country preacher before that it's our job to repent to God. God promises to forgive. End of story.

If that memory keeps popping up then that's not God causing it, that's the devil trying to make you feel poorly so that you can't be of use to God's Work. Don't let the devil use your past sin against you. And if God does give you a woman one day, make the most of that Godly relationship to spite the devil's temptations.

Now let me tell you my story James65... I was married for 30 years and out of that marriage came two disabled children a girl and a boy... We were both avid church goers... And then at the age of 54 she died... My daughter was already married and had one girl... My son was under my care and would never be married, he had too many problems... I was so mad at God and I cried out to him in frustration, in my whole being... I'VE HAD IT!... YOU TAKE OVER!... And he did!... I got out of the way and let God work!... Catch 22?... I met another Christian Woman and married the second one I went on the web just looking for companionship and met another, been married now for 17 years... My son?... He found his life too, I found a group home for him, where he has been happy for 17 years... James65, God has not damned you, you've damned yourself... My advice... LET GO!... LET GOD!... Brother Glen:)

There are two ways to look at the problem.
You might need to change your perspective.
God isn’t against you: he’s looking out for you.

Life with another person not only brings blessings but troubles as well.
Relationships are a lot of work.

Remember: As you get older the number of prospective ladies will grow.

During the wait, enjoy your independence.
  • Learn about yourself,
  • Don’t chase after someone, let them chase after you,
  • Work on personal growth and maturity,
  • Develop numerous interests and hobbies.
  • Have high standards, both for yourself and for those you might date (don’t settle for anyone)

God brought a woman to Adam.

You can pray something like, Heavenly Father, please bring a woman to me that is bone of my bone, in Jesus' name.

Thanks for all the kind replies but when I pray about this manner I can ask all I want, but loneliness has really destroyed all faith for an answer.
