Caucus and vote .... a BB first!?

Hey today is the day that 12 GOP candidates have been pinning their aspirations and lifetime ambitions on for at least a year now, and some for a little longer. So let's have a little fun. If you feel up to it, let's do a cyber caucus and vote.

Simply argue for your candidate and cast a vote for the candidate you think will win the 2016 Iowa Caucus.

Why do you have such a hard time writing a succinct sentence? Shall I cast a vote for my candidate or shall I cast a vote for the candidate I think will win the Iowa caucus? Or are they supposed to be the same person?

Anyway, I'll start. My vote is in the context of the Iowa caucus being the first vote in the process. Since I want to see Trump stopped, and the first place to do it would be in Iowa, I would vote for:

Ted Cruz

If Cruz can beat Trump in Iowa it would show that Trump's support is wide but not deep. He just doesn't have what it will take to attract true conservatives. I want to send the message that I'm not going to put up with RINO's and I won't support a name-calling, insulting, promise the world anything but with no defined plan, egotistical blowhard.

As the process moves forward I would likely fall behind Marco Rubio. He is conservative and appeals to a broader constituency than Cruz, thus is more electable in the general election.

Ted Cruz.
He is the one outsider in this race who I think can actually make a difference in DC. He already has a proven record of standing for principles in DC, making himself a lot of enemies in the process. Trump is already bragging about how he would make deals with DC which is not what we need. We need someone to remake the GOP into the conservative party it claims to be. Cruz would do that. Trump would just go along with business as usual.

He is a RINO, he supports open boarders. This I know because he is against a fence and wants to give citizenship to those who came here illegally. He is also an establishment candidate. In other words he is and will be controlled by the establishment wanting to hold on to power.

He makes promises and talks good but in the end he will be like Boehner and Ryan.

Rubio wants a fence.

Rubio is open to the idea of a long path to citizenship, yes, but that seems like a sensible solution to me.

Cruz financed his campaign with a loan from Goldman-Sachs. That's establishment in my book.

Sister, most of the time, I agree with what you write. I even like your stance on the issues that garner a response from you. HOWEVER, this time I believe you have been hoodwinked by the Brylcream, suave smooth talking politician that calls himself Ted Cruz.

He is another freshman senator wanting a promotion way too earlier in his political career. He would be another Obama, sad to say. We need someone with experience, and not an "anchor baby" that will have his birth challenged should he get elected.

However, I did ask for views, and you gave one. I just think you could choose more wisely. Shalom ....

Well my view is that the leading contender is the Republican version of Obama. I have had enough of narcissistic, thinned skin politicians. Your "anchor baby" is one of Trumps statements. Is that who you are supporting?

The fact that he has only had one term in the Senate doesn't bother me because of what is on his resume before that. Serving a Supreme Court Justice and then arguing 9 case before the SCOTUS, is a lot more then community organizing.

Based on his other posts on immigration and on Trump, I'd say so.

His resume is impressive. No denying that. But he has not proven he can lead. Argue?! Yes he is good at that. But arguing in front of SCOTUS is one small piece of the overall puzzle. He is another Obama. Green under the ears. And he is not liked, other than to be the cog in bringing down Trump. Once the GOP gets rid of Trump, they will focus on bringing down the Canadian born Cruz, to get Rubio in the WH. THERE IS a lot of time before November, and the Kouh's want Rubio, not Cruz; but they want Cruz to run interference so they can elevate Marko to POTUS.

TRUMP is the only one who can defeat the establishment. Why do you think the powerful, power hungry elites of the GOP are willing to spend millions to bring him down? He is the one person who can change, for the good, the political machine that runs Washington and the country.

Just my observation. But face it once Cruz ends Trump, Rubion will end Cruz, in court over the natural born issue the Donald has warned about.

From my perspective on everything I have read, the establishment hates and fears Cruz way more then they do Trump. They have certainly been cozing up to Trump here recently. Besides do you really see Trump supporters going to Rubio if Trump drops out? Cruz is the one that would pick up most of those supporters.

I have said from day one that I will never vote for Trump and nothing I have seen has changed my mind about that.

Oh you mean the GOP Hunger Games?

I would say Ted Cruz but I think he is going to be disqualified because he is Canadian born.

I would say Rand Paul but he is against increasing military expansion and spending.

Coke or Pepsi which do you prefer?

I don't know about you all but I think I'm going to vote for more war, more debt, bigger government and open borders this time. But only because I'm tired of voting for the losers. Just once I'd like to vote for a winner.

Ok I did vote for G. Dubya the first time so I can't say I have a perfect record.

In my own defense I honestly thought the man was a limited government conservative that was against military adventurism and nation building at the time.

Rubio wants a fence.
What good will a fence do when he pushes for amnesty for 12,000,000 illegals? He's already co-sponsored the legislation to do it. Fortunately, it was beat back. But Rubio talks out of both sides of his mouth on immigration and his credibility is shot on the issue.

TRUMP is the only one who can defeat the establishment. .

He is one of them, although less politically correct. In the end , he will be supported by the establishment status quo republicans. The one they fear the most is Cruz. He is not one of them and never will be.

His wife is establishment twice over. Goldman Sachs and CFR.

That's the pinnacle of the establishment. So Ted is literally in bed with them.
