CDC now says coronavirus 'does not spread easily' via contaminated surfaces

That wasn’t why he baptized people.
That was not the question. It was running water...

So they made the dusty trip to repent. The least John could offer was running water and a bath. That is what was required to offer a sacrifice in the temple, no?

Could you be more specific? I have read the Bible, also, I don’t recall reading about COVID-19 anywhere in it. Are you sure you are not just reading news headlines back into the Bible? It is not unusual for people to do that.
I was told to prepare people not read news headlines. If you are prepared, why ask me about what the Bible says?

Baptism is not about cleaning dirt off the body.

“Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” - 1 Peter‬ ‭3:21‬ ‭ESV‬‬

John's was, that's why Peter said it was the removal of dirt. You do not need to refer to what John did, because the new baptism was of the Holy Spirit and fire that burns up works of the flesh and leaves only the work of the Holy Spirit. Water can only remove dirt, that is why God created it. Running water is better, because stagnant water produces bad germs, bacteria, algae, etc.

No, it wasn’t and Peter didn’t say it was. It was a baptism of repentance.

“Before his coming, John had proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.” - Acts‬ ‭13:24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Doomers don’t like this news because it runs counter to their agenda.
FYI, I don't let the news control my thinking either way. There is middle ground here and I refuse to jump on hyper political and partisan bandwagons. I don't like the news when it is misleading and fake while being given by partisan hacks - I have no agenda with this disease to make it a partisan issue, my interests is more in the truth - some of you try that some time.

There is no news here. The CDC didn't change their stance on getting Covid from surfaces.

Fox News merely quoted someone that claims the CDC has changed their position. This is EXACTLY the sort of thing that MSNBC and CNN do on a daily basis.

Yes, there is. You just don’t like it.

#1. There is nothing new in the CDC statement. You can get Covid from touching surfaces but it is not the main way of transmission. This is what they've said all along.

#2. You don't know whether I like it or not. You're not a mind reader. I will tell you that if it were true, I would like it. But since it's merely a quote from someone that is reinterpreting the CDC I don't like it. I don't like Fake News.

Did Paul say John Baptized all of Israel or did Paul say that repentance was preached to all of Israel?

Do you also claim John was the first Baptist? You cannot preach baptism, well, if you want to be a false cult, you can. You preach repentance. All water did in the OT was remove dirt. John offered a chance to remove the dirt. If that is not what it did, then why did Peter say that all it could do is remove dirt?

Paul says all John could do is preach repentance that removes dirt, to prepare for Christ's coming. It was never for salvation. Did Jesus need to be saved?

Good thing that this news is neither of those things.

I'd welcome you to go around touching commonly touched items and sucking on your fingers to test this latest "expert piece of advice" out, that for some odd reason you seem to love and willing to accept - but common sense would hopefully tell you that would be a really stupid thing for you to do now wouldn't it?

Can you show any evidence there is no change?
