When they were putting togther these earlier "extra" games, like USC vs. VT, why didn't they do LSU vs. USC?

I thought they had FSU at home. I think the other three are meat.

Personally I'm happy in the knowledge that if you aren't a Gator, you're Gator bait!

    WOW!
Is Utah that good or is Texas A&M that bad?
How about that TCU-Northwestern game? 48-45(2OT)
Look for the Texas-North Texas game to be much closer than you think!

I knew I should have watched the TCU game last night! I got caught up watching the Bush speech and forgot about it.

My guess is that Texas A&M is "that bad", but it looks like Utah has a decent team also. I don't think much has changed from the A&M team that the Sooners destroyed last season. Wasn't it 77-0 with the Sooners intentionally not scoring in the 4th quarter?

The TCU game sounds like it would have been a great one to watch. I don't think Northwestern had a good team last year, so I am not sure what to make of it. It does gives TCU a win over a Big Ten team so they can start campaigning for a better bowl game even though I don't think they have a ranked team on their schedule.

I hope you are right about North Texas, but I doubt they will give the longhorns too much trouble. Of course Texas is probably looking past them (and Arkansas, Rice, and Baylor) to the next Red River Shootout against the Sooners. Maybe that will keep them from being focused on beating North Texas. I predict the Washington State Huskies will not return to power until the get a real head coach. What a neat trick it would have been for them to hire Mike Price after bama fired him for his night on the town.
Polls early in the season never tell us much, if they did there would be no reason to play the games.

A great example of this is #19 Missouri's loss to Troy State last night. LINK TO YAHOO.COM ARTICLE

I thought it would be an easy win for Missouri so I didn't even watch it. When I saw the score late last night I had to check a couple other places to make sure I saw it correctly. [IMG]

    Ken H,
Are the Longhorns that good or are they just plain lucky?
