Obama rallied the troops tonight and basically said let's forget bipartisanship and get the nation on track. For all of you whose been waiting for change, consider it on the way... :thumbsup:

The bipartisanship in the H.O.R. was AGAINST the bill. Maybe that's what he meant ?

He should have started with a bipartisan bill.It was failed to doom as a result. There is not an ounce of bipartisan in him.

Oh, the GOP is all about bipartisanship now. When did they convert? During their reign of error, it was all our way or the highway. Their policies have been voted out. As W said after the 2004 election, the Dems have "Political Capital" and they should spend it.

Even now, they presented their proposal with 100% tax cuts and basically said it was the only plan they would support. That is sure bipartisan. At least the Democrats have tax cuts in their plan.

Change from a fast slip to socialism to an even faster one.

If this is what you guys want, good for you. You'll get it - and I hope you like what you got.

What it will probably become, eventually, is an even more total oligarchy that what we've already got now.

And from what I've observed, the GOP hasn't been about much of ANYTHING lately, as indicated by the fact that they ran a democrat-in-drag for president.

More evidence of a lack of character and integrity from Obama. He doesn't have the courage to lead. He bowed to the pressure from his own party.

Shameful ... but expected.

What is more shameful is that there are people here who think this is good.

Very aptly put, RS, and AMEN!!

And can't you just hear the screams from the left once they realize (assuming that they do) that their fair-haired worshipfulness is screwing up royally that, "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!!!"

Course in a sense, I would have to agree, cuz if he (Bush) had NOT tried to play nicey-nicey with the Ds and played toward them, as they are toward the Rs now, the Rs just may have stayed in power. He turned the other cheek so many times he had no cheeks left when he left!

It's obvious that the only time they (Ds) want bi-partisanship is when the other side is holding the reins. If Bush had played the game with this in mind, things may have been much better now; but that's water over the dam now!

Actually the reason the Republicans lost the Congress in 2006 is because they spent money like drunken democrats and Bush would not veto. The reason they won so big in 2008 is O'bama cleverly played the race card and a lot of people voted for him so they could feel good, like something crawling up their leg [a Chris Matthews experience].

O'bama's true colors are showing after only two weeks and they look anything but promising for the Republic.

Actually, it's being said he took a page out of Reagan's book except Obama spoke with more passion.
