Then why on earth does he go on TBN? People that are not of the WoF movement might get the wrong idea about him..like me. I have lost some respect for him.

Oh, Atestring, here is a link to an article on Benny Hinn that has alittle info on Justin Peters.

I'm gonna venture to say the reason for his appearance----is not because he likes the Set's "Hair-doo's!!!"-----but probably because either he or his agent saw a lot of $$$$$$$$$$'s in the checking account!!! Or maybe they both saw a schedule calender that perhaps could be filled with a little PR on a stage in front of a camera!!!!

Neither Falwell nor Jeremiah has a history of calling people on false doctrine or disobedience to Scripture. That is not a valid criterion. The question is, Was Billingsley disobedient went he went to sing for people who are shameless money seekers, who embrace false doctrine, and who make merchandise out of God's people? The unequivocal answer must be Yes. How can there be any debate about it?

I guess we have a problem with Adrian Rogers and James Merritt both of their programs are on TBN.

A different kettle of fish. Both Rogers and Merritt have total control over their programs and don't hawk TBN. They just buy air time.

They support TBN by buying air time. They are helping spread the TBN word. See&lt; I think this whole thing is faulty. We bash a guy because he appears on a tv show.

    Josh Mcdowell

    Franklin Graham

And many more have appeared over the years do we bach these guys also? Many musical people have been on TBN do we boycott them?

I think you have to take it case by case. If I see anyone on Praise the Lord, Praise a thon, or on a WoF person's show...I will not support them anymore. If Franklin or Billy has their own show...then I don't have a problem with it.

I'm not sure who Billingsley is.
A few years ago when I had the TBN channel and actually watched it  , I saw Adrian Rogers on there, I think talking about one of his books. I was really suprised.

Rogers and Merritt should not be broadcasting on TBN. There are plenty of stations out there. However, their issue is not nearly as clear cut as CB's is.

We are not bashing a guy because he is "on a TV show." We are pointing out the disobedience of aligning oneself with open false teachers who are greedy of sordid gain. It would be wrong not to point it out. I can stand about two minutes of TBN at a time. I flip past it to see what is on occasionally. But I have never seen anyone worth watching on there. We can do better than that.

If teaching that Jesus Christ became a sinner and had to go to Hell to suffer as a sinner in order to purchase His own salvation before He could purchase ours isn't false teaching, what in the world is?

Oh, is that what it stands for? I thought they named it after Paul and Jan Crouch:

    Two Bloody Nitwits!

Whatever TBN may be, it is not about JEsus. It is about money. It is filled with false teaching such as the WoF, which is not a matter of opinion but fact. For a professing believer to be a part of that crowd is unconscionable. I can't imagine why Billingsly would do that. </font>[/QUOTE]I disagree

Charles Billingsly does a great job singing How Great thou Art on TBN.
should that song be thrown out of the church since he sung it on TBN?

Atestring, have you ever actually watched TBN?
I don't know how anyone can really like that if they read their bible. But I know so many eat it up. I immediately started watching after I got saved but thank God I followed along in my Bible and realized how wrong (I believe) the doctrine was. And I knew nothing about God really or the Bible at that time. I believe the Lord helped me there big time. [IMG]

I thought TBN = Totally Bout Nothing?

I started this thread to see what ideas people had on why Charles would be doing the Praise the Lord show on TBN.

If you saw the Mayor of your town hanging around Drug dealers...wouldn't you start thinking the mayor may be on drugs? Or atleast think its ok for the drug dealers to sell it?

Perception is reality. And people seeing CB on TBN will start thinking he is part of the WoF crap.

Why is he doing it? I think the 2nd post on this thread had it right..."its about the bling"

    I watch TBn Quite often.
I never miss Jesse Duplantis. I try to watch Jentzen franklin and life Today with James Robinson.
My favorite program ( The central Message with Ron Phillips) is no longer on TBN but is not on the INSP network.
As far as doctrine, There is not one specific doctrine that is pigeon holed on TBN. there are many programs. It is a network not a pigeon hole whipping post unlike some religious groups.
If you have a problem wathcing it ,then if your remote has a good battery in it you can find something else to watch.
I could watch Howard stern or MTV lioke lots of TBN Bashers but I prefer to watch TBN.
