Charlie Sheen expected to announce HIV diagnosis

Former "Two And A Half Men" star Charlie Sheen is expected to announce he is HIV positive in a interview with NBC's Matt Lauer. CBSN's Contessa Brewer reports.

Did he think he could sleep with tons of porn stars, and not be infected? Like society, that ignores the need to be saved from sin, Sheen must have felt invincible to the diseases this promiscuity brings.

Is your post one of pity, or one of warning to the fornicators of this world. Sheen needs Jesus. He may not get delivered from HIV , but he will be delivered from the life of loose living, living large, and rejecting the laws of God.

I didn't see your reason for making this known, and that is alarming, son! You usually have a spiritual agenda behind such posts, this leaves me somewhat surprised. U
You must be slipping.Whistling

May I suggest you rename this thread to read: SIN FINDS YOU OUT, EVENTUALLY!

This is Hollywood celebrities we are taking about, they usually have the idea of being untouchable from all the worlds maladies. I believe though that even if Charlie Sheen doesn't convert to Christianity we should show as merciful as possible towards his probable condition. This doesn't mean that what he has done is right, but just putting myself in his shoes, a sexual transmitted disease must feel and be a terrible. What can we as Christians do to help people with HIV?

Now here's an example of someone replying as though they know Christ.Thumbsup

What do you suggest we do to help these folks.

His lifestyle caught up with him, evidently.

Good of him to make it public. Now any bedpartners he might have will be forewarned.

Too soon to tell if it will turn into a fullblown case of AIDS. I pray not.

I feel badly for him. I don't feel badly because he has HIV although that is a horrible thing to have but I feel badly for him because of his lifestyle choices all through his life have been very poor and it is now resulting in ramifications that will last a lifetime. Having HIV is not a death sentence and I know people who have been diagnosed with HIV who are living healthy lives today - over a decade after they were diagnosed. But it's still not an easy road.

I also feel sorry for Charlie Sheen because of the choices he's made. While there's no doubt that he seems to have lurched from one addiction to another, one disaster to the next, and all through his own doing, I think he needed stronger people around him that cared, and he just didn't have them.

When you look at a life that could have been so much, but instead turning into this, it's hard not to be sad for him. While it's not been a totally wasted life, he could have given so much more.

I really feel badly for him because his entire adult life has been a mess. I realize that he made the choice that he did that put him where he is today because addiction is a terrible thing. Once it gets a hold of you if it hard to get your life back. You are constantly fighting it. He had so much potential. He could have done so much and really made a good name for himself but sadly his life went the other way. He has some success but I agree pwardi I think was capable of so much more. I will keep him in my prayers.

This is very sad and scary. I hope he starts really thinking about where he'll spend eternity and get saved! That'd be amazing. Jesus can cleanse even the dirtiest of sinners. I'm hoping he does I really am.

We can pray that he does. That would be the best thing that he could do for himself right now. He needs it. It is in their time of darkness that so many people find God. I will pray for him.

It's just sad that people will only decide turn to God (if that's what he does) when bad things happen, instead of welcoming God in to their lives right from the start.

I feel bad for Charlie Sheen, and I am praying for him.
I wish him nothing but good things. I hope he can have a long life, and that he is around for his family for many years.
That said, I am not surprised. Over the years I have watched him act the way he does, and eventually it had to catch up with him.

Well, what some other members have done already is the first step: Praying for him. Sometimes we can only pray and hope for a miracle.

However, it would be awesome to contact Christian groups who actually focus on delivering an appropriate message to hollywood stars. There probably exists one, perhaps someone here knows one of these groups.

What I find interesting though is that his dad Martin Sheen has some moral and spiritual grounds that could perhaps serve as a guide for Charile. Check this article written a while back about "Hollywood Performers Who You May Not Have Known Are Christians" - Martin Sheen is on the first place : http://www.theblaze.com/stories/201...rs-who-you-may-not-have-known-are-christians/"
