If I am going to worship God it's going to be in a way that I can understand and communicate.

I'm not going to worship God with something I don't even understand.

I mean why not model after how the Catholics use to do things and have our preachers preach in Latin... I mean... you go to the worship for him right?

If that was what I had for a church, I'd do it in a heartbeat and read the Word along with him in my own language and trust that God would be glorified.

But again, it is not about me. I don't worship to be edified but to glorify God.

Lets see, some worship when they speak in tounges- even if you dont understand the words....

Oh wait - could there be a connection?????
Well, if speaking in tongues is an adequate comparison to not being able to make out the words, then providing words via hymnals or on a screen is providing interpretation--which is Biblical. So back to the comment earlier in the thread about having words on a screen for the congregation to read.
