Let me make something clear, before I began adhering to the Doctrines of Grace, I never read Calvin or Augustine. You know why? They come from Scripture, not Calvin or Augustine, or Sproul, or Lawson, or Luther, or any other man that was not inspired. They come from the Scriptures themselves. They come from Paul, they come from Jesus, they come from Peter, they come from David, they come from John, big time come from John, they come from Moses, they come from the Biblical text. Nowhere else.

Sure you do. If you are not quoting them, then the only thing that can be said is that your observation of scripture is similar to Augustine or to Calvin. But, you cannot label them as following these individuals.
This is your strawman. You cannot accept that the Bible shows us something that both the early fathers and the present living saints can equally observe.
So, show me where I quote Augustine or Calvin, otherwise note that you have created a strawman and you are being disingenuous.

Be honest. You label me a calvinist. When have I quoted calvin?
Silverhair, you have created a strawman.

It may be that Calvin and I observe the Bible and draw similar lines, but that does not mean, by any imagination, that I follow calvin.
Again, you are being disingenuous.

Indeed, you are a simple man.

Here your assertion is false...unless you imagine yourself to be the Bible. Do you think you are the Bible, Silverhair? If so, see a mental health specialist.
The Bible is wonderful and I embrace each word as God ordained.
You, on the other hand, are a terrible theologian. Just awful.

Show me where I deny scripture. You can't.
I reject your awful theology as being terrible hermeneutics that no human should ever follow.
My refusal to believe you is indeed on me. You, however, are not the Bible.

If it walks like a dick and quacks like a duck you can be quite sure it is a duck. If you support the calvinist theology whether you quote augustine calvin or not that you support what put forward etc would one not surmise that your a calvinist. I note that you really dance around being called a follower of calvin, why are you embarrassed to be associated with him.

The terrible hermeneutics that you reject is just the bible verses that I have quoted. You just do not like what those verses say do you. I have asked you many times why you deny clear scripture and you run back to, oh it is what you say. But the problem for you is that it is not me saying anything it is the scripture that you reject. So please stop saying that you follow the bible as you have rejected just about every verse I have posted and you know it.

Do you, at any point, intend to be honest? Because your entire point, above, is dishonest.

Lol just being Calvinist doesn't mean you follow Calvin in general. And yes, the great strawman argument of the ignorant.

What you just wrote is really the saddest thing I have seen in a long time. The fact you said you found that theology in the bible is shocking to say the least. You must have a very low opinion of the character of God if you think calvinism portrays Him correctly.

You could at least have the courtesy to say you quoted me. But that would be expecting more from you than you can be.

It does get very trying dealing with those that think calvinism is the truth. Perhaps some day you will realize that it is the bible you should trust and not you idea of what the bible says. When you deny scripture is it not me that you are disagreeing with it is God.

I am going to leave you two to wallow in your errant theology. Hopefully you will grow up and start seeking the meat of scripture instead of just staying with the milk.

I do notice that those of your ilk do tend to be arrogant and judgemental as your recent comments will attest. They also tend to throw pejorative comments at those that threaten them.
Sorry if the shoe fits. But the Doctrines for Grace were not formulated by Augustine or Calvin so really stop with the nonsense and get some education.

Idiotic post. The low opinion of God is the one that says Man has to save himself like you do.
