Evidently this company was sued because they would not offer a franchise to a non-Christian
Your Thoughts?

From a FB post:
A federal appeals court ruled that Christian Brothers Automotive can make Christianity a requirement for its franchise owners, rejecting a Jewish man’s racial discrimination lawsuit.
Three judges on the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the Houston-based company in a Sept. 30 ruling. They found no evidence that the chain rejected the applicant based on race.
Mark Carr and a partner opened the first auto repair shop in Mission Bend, Texas, in 1982. Christian Brothers started selling franchises in 1996 and now has more than 310 locations nationwide.

The SCOTUS ruled 7-2 in favor of the baker Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cakeshop, in the case Masterpiece Cakeshop, LTD v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. If you recall, Phillips refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple because it conflicted with his religious beliefs regarding homosexuality. The Court ruled that the commission violated the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment because comments made by commissioners showed impermissible hostility and a lack of religious neutrality toward Phillips’s sincere religious beliefs.

However, I doubt in this case rejecting a franchise because of religious preference could be denied.

Never been impressed with "Christian" brothers. They are just another franchise whose business model is upcharging their customers and capitalizing upon their misery! It is infinitely more despicable seeing that they have pasted a "Fishy" symbol upon it.
