Christian flag etiquette

Because it represents the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus is what they are really offended about.

Because states are not subordinates of the federal government. They are the masters over the federal government. In the words of the Lee Resolution, they are "free and independent".

I didn't say that. But you seem to think the states have more power than the Federal Government. That was true when we first started under the Articles of Confederation. However, that didn't work. So we went to a Federal system under the Constitution.

Yes, and it was the states that birthed the federal government under the Constitution, and not the federal government that birthed the states. That's why the Constitution gives the federal government no authority over the states.

I don't see a reason for the U.S. flag inside a church and oppose the U.S. flag being inside the church.
Outside a church, I'm assuming the U.S. flag is used to represent the nation the church resides? I'm ok with it I guess.
The U.S. flag gets lowered for reasons supporting the U.S. The Christian flag should be lowered for Christian reasons.
Suppose the Democrats win the next presidency and lower the flags to half mast in honor of gay pride week? Will one lower the Christian flag to half mast?
Many people mistake U.S. values for Christian values. They are not necessarily the same. Are you a part of the world or just passing through?

Unfortunately states have sold their independence.
To an extant the States and Commonwealths ARE subordinate to the Federal govt - in SOME instances - according
to the COTUS.
IMHO - The US Flag and a State/Commonwealth Flag should fly at the same height.
